This is a little more pricey than the basic model, but it seems to have extra capability and speed. I notice that it picks up more signals compared to my old "dongle" from about 5 years ago, and it seems to allow for pages to load faster. a little on the wide side, so i have to make sure that things plugging into the adjacent USB port are the most basic size so they can squeeze in beside this device. I did have to install software initially to get this working (no autoload from the internet (which would not work since this is what lets the computer connect to the internet).

This a a great product. Had to upgrade toa device that was compatible with windows 8. This is affordable, easy to install, range works great and small and discreet

I needed advice when I was searching for a wireless connection for an additional computer at my home. I pictured a difficult install. This product was recommended not only because of the ease of use, but because of its signal strength. This computer is on a different floor and the opposite side of the house from my server. I have experience no problem with connections since hooking it up.

I've tried numerous usb wifi adapters from all price ranges. Although expensive this usb wifi has mad range and works well with all operating systems.

Previous purchases were not reliable for my wireless connection. Since my purchase of the Netgear wireless USB I have been connected to the internet.

This unit retrieves a strong wi-fi signal from a router located on a different floor of our house. Very pleased. Strong signal and fast throughput.

This wireless adapter was very simple to install and has worked great. When my computer accepted an auto upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 my wireless internet system quite working. I purchased this wireless modem and immediately had internet access again. This solved a big problem with a minor expense. I'm very happy with the way this turned out.

This wireless adapter works as advertised, it connectes to the internet fast and I've had no issues since I purchased it about one month ago.

This was recommended to me by an IT guy. Great range. Works from the basement to the 3rd floor without any problems or issues in my house.

I purchased the Netgear N900 wireless USB adapter to be able to locate a computer away from a cable outlet. This model was recommended by the Best Buy salesman. The adapter has been in use for over a month and works well. Speed and connectivity are good. I can't evaluate the range because the computer is only about 10 feet from the wireless router.

My laptop tended to drop the network connection using the built-in wifi. Added this adapter and the problem was solved with much higher connection speeds. It's a dual band adapter but the drivers from Netgear would only connect to one band on my Windows 8.1 machine. Found another driver at the chipset manufacturer's site. After installing I have full speed on both bands.

Laptop decided that the wireless wasn't going to work anymore. Work told me to go to BestBuy and buy an external one. Very easy to use.

Desktop running Trackman golf device, needed wifi capable computer to track stats and project. This did the trick and was easy to install.
