Works better than XFinity supplied Cable Modem
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having trouble with the supplied XFinity cable modem. After three of their modems, each one with issues I picked up this Netgear Nighthawk Cable Modem. The Netgear was easier to install than XFinity supplied modem and was much faster.

Very good Gigabit modem
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great modem (not a router, and does not have wifi in it, just saying :) )! I bought a few before since I recently changed my internet plan to gigabit service and when I tested with this one - it was performing better than others I bought. This one is a keeper. The only thing I need to figure out is how to use other ports on it lol. I hear that some people can use them w/o opening another IP, where others state you have to get another IP. No one knows. I called and opened a ticket with Netgear to figure this out, but, that is not an issue or deal-breaker. I love that it is bigger in size, which means, more cooling. All ports are 1-Gigabit Ethernet ports. Overall - great modem for a great price!

Great upgrade!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super fast. Replaced older modem. Running a lot through the house. I have had to rest it just once so far since purchase date vs the old modem and spectrums garbage modems. Well worth the investment

Great Modem
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super fast set up. I was told that my cable company usually takes 30 minutes to activate a modem. This one was activated and ready in 5 minutes. I can already see a stronger and faster result.

Fast fast fast!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally had to upgrade from our previous Motorola DOCSIS 3.0 modem. I wish we had done it earlier, this one is so much faster and more or less future proof. Was a drop-in recommended replacement on the Cox network.

The fastest modem for gigabit without fiber.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to increase my speed and reliability when I upgraded from my previous version of the Nighthawk. I couldn't update the one I had anymore and this one was cheaper than my old one when I bought it.

Super easy to set up and works great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having repeated issues with the modem/router from my ISP, so I bought this modem and a NetGear Orbi Mesh system. Gigablast Speeds
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works great! No issues so far, this is must-need item for Cox gigablast wifi speeds that’s why we upgraded, my only complaint is that there isn’t a wifi and router combo like the lower speed ones.

Wow Good Stuff
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Paired this modem with a Nighthawk router and seen speeds higher by 100 mbps down (700) than what I'm paying for 600 mbps down. No more lag in games online. Worth the money. Netgear very good company.

Great modem.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This modem is fantastic. A breeze to set up, Generally faster and much more stable speeds with this modem than from the one Comcast originally supplied for my gigabit connection. Link aggregation is a great feature as well.

Easy setup, better signal in the house
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had power outage that fried a previous modem that was giving us great signal in the house. Spectrum gave us a unit from them that was absolutely horrible. Very poor speeds and dropped internet all the time. Went ahead and got this and wow, what a difference. Games online no longer drop or lag like crazy. No more internet drops and speeds are just overall faster. Did have to contact Spectrum to get it activated but that was the only difficult part.

Excellent modem and super fast too.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Modem and a Router wifi-6 so I did not have to pay rent on Comcast modem anymore. Setting both was incredibly hard and I spent hours on the phone with Netgear but now I'M SUPER HAPPY!!! The combination makes this the fastest setup you can have at home with a fantastic range. My house is over 3,000 Sq ft and I get full bars even outside. The speed will vary according to your device, so my cell phone and my friend's iPhone are super fast. I set up a guest network so friends can come in and use it without interfering with my other devices. I have about 26 devices connected and nothing can slow down the network. Too bad cost a LOT of $$$$$$ but you won't need to buy anything else for the next 5 to 6 years.

Does its job!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This does its job, which is to provide 1000Mbs internet to my house. I had the cable guy from Comcast help me install it because I wasn't getting the full speed at first. Once we troubleshooted for a little while we were averaging in the 850 to 950 Mbs range which was close enough for me, and a lot faster than I had with my previous service. Once it was setup I pretty much never have to mess with it and it just works. So I am pleased so long as it keeps the fast internet going.

worth the upgrade
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced a old CM700 with this, I now get the max speed my ISP claims now and have had zero connection issues that plagued the CM700. For me this item improved my Internet speed greatly.

Finally--a working cable/modem!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the 3rd cable/modem I tried (on the advice of an anonymous Comcast technician ) after two failures with other brands. I knew that DOCSIS 3.1 was overkill, but seemed a reasonable undertaking since I will own this for a few years. The setup is not strait forward as you will be communicating with the cable company using a cellphone while the network is down. Make sure you have a laptop with Ethernet to test your local setup. Now that it's installed, WiFI6 is definitely worth it, in addition to cat5 wherever you can put it.
