Xfinity compatible modem works great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works extremely well with Xfinity cable service. Easy to connect and work with ASUS router. Cable installer commented on my choice and using the better grade equipment. Our service is excellent: very good picture quality, high speed internet service and consistent quality. Also small size let's us store it easily. The numbers do not make sense to pay a monthly rental fee for a modem. This is paid off in less than one year.

Excellent cable modem
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super fast. Super duper easy setup. If you are trying to use port aggregation, I would not recommend getting it unless your service is over 1gbps!

NETGEAR - Nighthawk 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Truly a powerhouse of a modem! This modem lives by its specs. Have testing our Internet speeds constantly to evaluate outputs, and have had zero issues with connections. The only thing to be aware about, if you are replacing a modem to avoid rent charges, it's a bit tricky is you don't have an ethernet port on a laptop. We couldn't get our router to communicate with the modem at first. Reason still unknown. However with an ethernet port straight into the modem allowed me to start our Xfinity network. Hope this helps anyone that comes to the same issue.

Replaced my old cable modem
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good and sturdy product. Works like a charm. Web interface is simple and easy to use and provides good technical information. There is not a lot of configuration needed, which is good. One confusing thing is that while there are 4 ethernet ports, only one can be used. A second one could be 'pair up' for a faster datalink, but that requires deeper knowledge. The other 2 ports are not usable, which is confusing to the user. The manufacturer should have just removed these non-usable ports to avoid confusion.

NETGEAR Nighthawk - Awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally purchased the NetGear Nighthawk modem to replace the inferior Spectrum cable modem. I basically have a Google smart home with 25 plus smart devices and the Spectrum equipment just could handle it! I was able to connect the Nighthawk to my Google mesh wifi and everything worked flawlessly! Before making the jump we would have internet and wifi outages every day! Also, I noticed a big increase in the download and upload speeds! I would highly recommend this modem to anyone!

Improved beyond expected speed
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wonder why anyone would use their stock modem. Even connected through a eero, this boosted a 400gb spectrum wifi plan from 350gb to near 600gb download speeds.

||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old modem stopped working and not wanting to rent a modem, I bought this one. Great modem!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great docsis 3.1 modem for 300 Mbps cables speeds and faster. Works great with Comcast and should be future-proofed for quite a few years.

Great modem
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked out of the box with no problems. I did have to call my service provider Sparklight to activate it, since their online activation didn’t work—kept giving an error message saying it wasn’t recognized as a modem they support (even though I had checked their list of supported modems prior to purchase), but I believe that was a Sparklight issue and not a Netgear one. They were able to activate it, and from the moment it started working it’s been great. Works well with our Orbi mesh system and has increased our speeds.

Gets the job done
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a new modem to replace an arris 6183 and went with this one. A little over kills since you can't use all 4 ports unless you get 4 IP address form cable provider. Easy to set up and my speeds are about the same but want all my devices on Netgear. Paired with R6700 AC1750 router and S8000 Switch. I stream Hulu and seems to have solved some buffering issues. All wired devices to stream. Could have saved $50 to go with one port.
