Great modem
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked out of the box with no problems. I did have to call my service provider Sparklight to activate it, since their online activation didn’t work—kept giving an error message saying it wasn’t recognized as a modem they support (even though I had checked their list of supported modems prior to purchase), but I believe that was a Sparklight issue and not a Netgear one. They were able to activate it, and from the moment it started working it’s been great. Works well with our Orbi mesh system and has increased our speeds.

Exceeds Expectations
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far the best modem I've ever owned. For years I've used the standard Spectrum issued modem and no matter how many times I upgraded my internet speed (twice) I would struggle to get anything beyond 200mbs. With this new modem I am consistently getting 850-1000mbps. It makes gaming so much smoother!! Would recommend to anyone that has Spectrum as an internet service provider.

NETGEAR is the right gear.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Living in an HOA, we have a discounted rate with our cable tv/internet supplier. However, the modem they supplied us with could not meet our modest demands upon it. We upgraded with this NETGEAR unit and its basically invisible. We're not even conscious of it because it just does its job flawlessly.

Gets the job done
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed a new modem to replace an arris 6183 and went with this one. A little over kills since you can't use all 4 ports unless you get 4 IP address form cable provider. Easy to set up and my speeds are about the same but want all my devices on Netgear. Paired with R6700 AC1750 router and S8000 Switch. I stream Hulu and seems to have solved some buffering issues. All wired devices to stream. Could have saved $50 to go with one port.

Does what it supposed to do
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup and does what it's supposed to do. Previously had Arris 8200, but was not fully supported by Spectrum. This is on their list.

Stable modem so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked up this modem to replace a Spectrum issued modem. The equipment from Spectrum was an Intel Puma based modem and I constantly was fighting with it. After getting a few replacements from them, I got tired of resetting everything every 2 hours. So far this modem has been much more stable. I don't see quite the speeds I had been seeing, but I imagine that is due to Spectrum having this device as accepted on network instead of recommended. The only real con for me is the price. Otherwise a solid modem.

Pretty good, just make sure to have a good router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has been good so far. Replaced my other cox modem. Setup was easy. Have had some slight issues with speeds sometimes but I think I need to update my router instead. Overall, pretty good. I would say if you don’t want to splurge with another router you should spend slightly more for the two and one, however I would say do some research.

A solid Netgear product.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beats my ISP modem out of the water. Faster speeds easier recovery time. There were a few hiccups but the tech support was able to help me configure it to my mesh system. It took longer than ide like but besides that, a solid product.

Great Modem!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a great product in the nighthawk series. When you have anything that is a 2-in-1, such as modem router combos, always keep in mind that it will perform both of those functions well but neither one will be great. As an up and coming IT professional, I always recommend getting a separate modem and router devices for your home network. It will be a large upfront cost, but the performance and longevity will save you money over time.
