I was using an Arris Surfboard and switched to this Nighthawk. The difference is night and day. There is no issues with anything. Everything is clear and it stands with no effort. the other wouldn't stand at all but laid on its side. The speed with this thing is very nice.

Needed to get away from a dual modem/router system. This modem has worked great for my modest current internet speed. But it will continue to work if I need to increase my speed in the future. The setup was fairly straight forward. I did need my internet provider's assistance in setting it up (but this was easily done via online chat). It is a larger unit, but the design is sleek and I don't mind it being visible.

I highly recommend this modem. I was having issues with Comcast after they "did some work in the area" and then my internet wouldn't work at all or was intermittent. After 2 days, they finally told me that I needed to replace my modem or rent theirs. I installed this modem the next day and my issues were resolved. I was finally getting the speeds that I was paying for. The interface is much better than my previous modems.

Approx 7months and so far it has been functioning as advertised. I upgraded to xFinity 1GB service cause I also work out of the house. The download speeds depending on the internet test service used ranges from 600MB to 950MB downloads on Win10 systems. All connections have been stable and I have not had to reboot to resolve any connection issues. At some point would like to get a router with port aggregation to see if that would improve the bandwidth tests.

I bought this modem 4-25-21 and today's date is 5-31-23. The ENTIRE time, we've had almost NO issues. Internet has been steady with internet only being affected by weather, etc. However, 5-28-23 we started to have problems with our internet where it would slow down to almost a screeching halt, and then shut off for a couple hours. Turns out, that this modem was outdated and therefore no longer reliable to be used as our modem, and checking Netgear websites for firmware/software update, there's absolutely none. The modem lasted for 2 years with no main concerns, and even the small ones, not even worth mentioning. I highly recommend it, but keep in mind that there's no software updates for it, so your internet company may tell you it's too outdated to be used. I still recommend getting it. But I'd also recommend going for the CM 2000-100NAS since it's only 50 bucks more and it's more up-to-date than this one is.

    Many uncorrectables and errors

I upgraded to this modem at the start of the COVID lockdown. Had been working fine until this past November. I had many (thousands) of uncorrectables, lots of lag, and multiple loss of internet lasting as long as 30 min needing a modem reboot. I thought that the unit went bad so I replaced with the exact same modem (CM1200). My problems did not resolve so I exchanged with anothr one (on 3rd unit)! I had a Comcast/Xfinity tech come to check my system but he could not find anything wrong. He said that he researched my modem and problems associated with it before coming to my house. He found many complaints exactly as mine. He said that eventhough the box said it was compatibe with Xfinity, Netgear contacted them to say there was a problem with the modem & they are working on a fix. He suggested to buy another brand (Arrxx). In his experience, they are "rock solid" and has hardly any problem with Xfinity system. I bought their latest modem (S33) and have had ZERO uncorrectables, log errors, and disconnects! I gave 2 stars because the CM1200 had LAN port aggregation (802.3ad), not to be confused with WAN Aggregation. The S33 doesn't :( With the original unit, I found that the extra ethernet ports on the CM1200 allowed me to attach an ethernet switch. When the problems started to happen, I could not use the extra ports on the back of the CM1200. I could only use it for WAN Aggregation. Note that I pressed the reset button on the back of both units and it did not help. I suspect a firmware update had closed that option and also started all the problems. I have had problems with Netgear Orbi routers (RBS850) also so I will be staying away from this brand.

Upgraded from the Netgear C6300 after the firmware issue finally caught up to me and it pretty much died. This new modem has shown to more capable though as I am now getting the full 200mbps and a little more than the previous combo router/modem mentioned. Luv it!!! No issues so far and paired it with a Linksys ax1800 which are definitely sufficient for my current internet speed and more if I decide to go gigabit with Cox.

I got this cable modem to replace xfinity's cable modem. It will save me $16 a month and will pay for itself in less than a year with a gift and sale price. Works great can't tell the difference.

I didn't think I needed a $200 modem. Then, my wife and I both started working from home. She is teaching school in the den, making long video conferences with her students and sharing videos with them, while I am also running two laptops and having video calls with colleagues and clients. The old modem couldn't keep up. This one is a beast.

Nice modem, though it took 2 of them to work! Bought first during the pandemic, but never used... Found it was a dud, and had to buy a 2nd, as first one no longer under warranty, though never used( 2nd one works great! But took visit from cable company to straighten this out.... I paired it with a new Nighthawk router - great combination

Disclaimer - I have comcast bundled voice that I don't use so I bought this modem thinking it would be fine, it is fine, but it is a pain to set up with the presence of voice service on your account, even if it's unused. I know some reviews said this was easy to setup but that wasn't the case for me at all. We have Comcast internet (600mpbs), voice and tv bundle, but we have never used the voice service. Tried to set it up on my own with no luck at all. A call to comcast automated service, as usual, is a exercise in frustration. First they tell you what you already know, that your comcast modem is disconnected. Second, they force you to go through a ten minute reboot process even though that's not what you're trying to do. After the ten minutes they send a text saying they'll set up an appointment with a tech. Ignore the text and just call back. Press zero a few times and just say "speak to agent" a few dozen times and you'll get through to someone. The tech was able to add my modem after an hour (no exaggeration) but he wasn't able to remove my comcast rented modem. The reason for this is because I have a voice service and removing the only modem that provides that service is not allowed. Naturally. I have a call with comcast today, again, to remove their modem but it sounds like I'll have to take the voice service off the bundle to make it work. I'll report back. Despite all these headaches my connection is much more consistent with the Netgear modem and so far haven't had any packet loss or random drops. If you don't have a comcast triple play modem already set up this would be a breeze to get going.
