Took several tries and numerous calls to tech support to get it up and running. Had problems recognizing the Spectrum cable hardware necessary for it to contact the Internet. The case is misleading, there are 4 Cat5/6 cable plugins on the back, BUT, only the top 1 works. I can not figure this one out, why have the 3 other plugin?? It would be nice to have multiple plug ins for multiple eithernet/wifi routers. Now that would be cool.

Would suggest this to anyone needing a new modem.. easy to install and able to handle fast speeds

What's not to like. It works flawlessly. Only 1 output, which is what I wanted, because I purchased a powerful wifi router. So the modem stays open, but my Router is a Firewall to my LAN, with software firewalls on all my computers which are of course password protected.

Awesome modem. Using it for Spectrum internet service. Initially tried to registered it thru the automatic modem registration but told me it was not compatible. Decided to call and they where able to register it right way. Took less then 5 minutes. I have internet ultra and it is rated for 400 down 20 up. Was getting about 350 to 400 down using original Spectrum modem. After the upgrade im getting 470 down and 25 up.

Picked this up to pair with my new try band mesh system and was so simple to setup get back to work with ZERO brain damage. I work from home so quality matters and NETGEAR has always been my go to for a quick, easy and secure connection.

I bought this but made the mistake on my end of not paying attention when I was in a hurry to get in and out of the store. Ihave had this previously and loved it but where we live now, our area has mostly DSL still and unfortunately it's really hard to find modems in stores so I had to return this.

Good modem. It does the job of a modem by providing gig speeds. I would recommend this modem.

Finally needed to upgrade. So far it's still working. It is very tall though. Towers over my router.

It’s been three months and the performance has been great. The admin webpage allows you to easily set up and fine tune the device.

Handles fast internets and installs easily. Would highly recommend.

Roader easy to install and gets long range Wifi and its fast

It connects to the internet, so no complaints. It seems much faster than the Arris Surfboard that I had previously... before it suddenly stopped working after a year. That modem had a lot of dropped connections as well, but that seems to have stopped with the Netgear Nighthawk. I debated between this and the hybrid modem/wifi version, but I'd rather have some flexibility in upgrading my router.

Not quite sure why the ethernet ports aren't effective. The router I use (also netgear) works fine with it, but close to nothing else will. Thankfully, the router I purchased has ethernet ports that work, but given it connects to the modem, which then acts as a splitter for the ports, there may be a priority port issue on the modem? Will probably have to look into, but everything works fine as it is.

Easy set up, have used Netgear products products for years. No issues so far.

Performance is great! Setup is easy! I wish I had moved from my xfinity modem sooner.

Finally decided to upgrade my internet speed and i needed to replace the Arris cable modem that had provided over 8 years of faithful service. Upon the recommendation of the Spectrum cable tech, i purchased a Netgear cable modem. First time using a Netgear product. I heard many good things over the years, but never felt the need to purchase any of their products since ive had no issues with Arris, Motorola, and Linksys devices. Took Spectrum a few moments after receiving the mac address to have my new Netgear up and running. So far, no complaints. My connection is strong and steady. Im using this modem to power my Linksys Mesh network using wifi6. At any given moment, there are at least 40+ devices with 2 tvs constantly streaming in 4k. The Netgear and Linksys are both working great. As of right now, i would definitely recommend this model. If you're a Spectrum customer who doesn't want to pay rental fees for their cable modem (which is actually pretty good), make things easier on yourself and buy a Netgear. It is highly recommended by their repair techs and customer service reps. Now if this modem dies in the next few days, weeks, or months, i will make a follow-up post detailing what happened.

I have had this cable modem since 4/21, so this review is based on long time usage. I work from home, at least 10 hours daily, so uptime and connectivity reliability are very important to me. This cable modem works fairly consistently and I am getting the upload/downloads speeds that I purchased from my cable provider.
