I upgraded to this modem at the start of the COVID lockdown. Had been working fine until this past November. I had many (thousands) of uncorrectables, lots of lag, and multiple loss of internet lasting as long as 30 min needing a modem reboot. I thought that the unit went bad so I replaced with the exact same modem (CM1200). My problems did not resolve so I exchanged with anothr one (on 3rd unit)! I had a Comcast/Xfinity tech come to check my system but he could not find anything wrong. He said that he researched my modem and problems associated with it before coming to my house. He found many complaints exactly as mine. He said that eventhough the box said it was compatibe with Xfinity, Netgear contacted them to say there was a problem with the modem & they are working on a fix. He suggested to buy another brand (Arrxx). In his experience, they are "rock solid" and has hardly any problem with Xfinity system. I bought their latest modem (S33) and have had ZERO uncorrectables, log errors, and disconnects! I gave 2 stars because the CM1200 had LAN port aggregation (802.3ad), not to be confused with WAN Aggregation. The S33 doesn't :( With the original unit, I found that the extra ethernet ports on the CM1200 allowed me to attach an ethernet switch. When the problems started to happen, I could not use the extra ports on the back of the CM1200. I could only use it for WAN Aggregation. Note that I pressed the reset button on the back of both units and it did not help. I suspect a firmware update had closed that option and also started all the problems. I have had problems with Netgear Orbi routers (RBS850) also so I will be staying away from this brand.

I got this cable modem to replace xfinity's cable modem. It will save me $16 a month and will pay for itself in less than a year with a gift and sale price. Works great can't tell the difference.

Picked this up to pair with my new try band mesh system and was so simple to setup get back to work with ZERO brain damage. I work from home so quality matters and NETGEAR has always been my go to for a quick, easy and secure connection.

Amazing speeds. This is the only reason I’m somewhat satisfied with Spectrum. This router has unlocked exponentially faster speeds than the basic rental equipment. Don’t be discouraged if it shows as unsupported when you try the self service activation portal. I had to call them to activate it which took a while, but it’s 100% worth that small inconvenience.

Geek Squad installed new replacement Netgear Nighthawk Router/Modem to increase speed and security over previous model. Installation was accomplished without trouble and system was online within minutes. Modem is now operating with complementary Netgear Mesh Network to provide solid internet throughout the residence.

Fast and easy to use. Has been working well and staying cool in a structured cabinet.

This would be a 5 star review. IF this wasn't the second " works with Xfinity " router I've purchased from netgear that is supposed to be able to set up easily and in a few minutes. Xfinity's system never recognizes the Mac number and you have to call Xfinity tech line .. then ....wait to get forwarded to Pakistan to find someone smart enough to add it manually to your Xfinity account. This isn't a one off. I had to call 3 times. If this is the type of " compatibly " you're looking for. You found it ! Granted. Most of the problem is Comcast and their network. But this is a far cry from " set up in Minutes " This router performs beautifully. Everything about it is top shelf. Except the set up , that stinks on ice.

Allowed me to take advantage of my Gigabit service in my home. So far has been reliable and fast.

Can’t beat Nighthawk! We already had a Nighthawk wireless router. The speed on this new router is crazy fast! The router our tv and internet provider had us using was crap. Our signal would drop constantly. We haven’t lost any signal since and my gaming has had no glitches in signal. I will always use Nighthawk routers!

Easy to set up and getting much quicker speeds then with the Cox rental modem!

This moden is a lot cheaper over time versus renting one plus getting to speeds of 940mbs direct connected and an average of 600mbs through my Asus gaming router.

A very nice unit was an easy install and works great with the rest of our setup.

This Modem is EXCELLENT! It will pull every megabyte available from your Internet Provider that they allow through. INCREDIBLY dependable; no need for a power reset for nearly a month and is always pushing top performance. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND This Modem. The price is high, but it does pay for itself with what it can provide and dependability.

Strong, but misleading. This modem really only has one usable port dispite having four. It took a day off searching forums to discover that. The instructions are not straightforward for everyday people. The others are for more complicated serious daisy chaining multiple Nighthawks. A switch is needed or direct connection to a WiFi router to connect multiple devices to the internet.
