At the moment I can say that it is a tremendous modem. It is the third model that I try in the month of February since I had noticed a bad connection with my old modem and router. At the moment the connection is stable. We just bought some Asus mesh to connect them and so we will verify that the connection goes hand in hand with the teams that we can already.

Excellent!! So easy to set up. I downloaded the app and it’s very user friendly. The coverage is excellent in any room of the house. I also purchased the Netgear Nighthawk Cable Modem CM-1200. It works perfectly with Orbi and I couldn’t be happier. I absolutely love my Home Orbi system. When you see the name Netgear I always think quality.

I purchased this cable modem to replace my xfinity rental modem to help lower my overall bill from xfinity.
It will take a little over a year but after that I’m pure profit.
I also purchased a two year extended warranty in the case of breakdown being I’m taking on that liability vs xfinity on the rental.
Installation was 10 minutes and very straight forward.
I did need to contact xfinity to take my old modem off their support, I also needed to add the Netgear to their support to activate it, that all took about a half hour.
As well I had to return the xfinity modem to their local store.

Modem still not working. Returned first I bought of this model that ended up being defective. I sprnd over 2 hours on phone with both our cable provdee and the modem manufacturer. Brst Buy exchanged for another one. Real easy to exchsnge with receipt. Then spent over 2 more hours on phone trying to get the replacement to work. This time xable modem worked but it would not work with out router. As long as you plugged directly into modem, you got great hard wired speed. Could not get it to work with wifi at all. I spend over 240 minutes trying to get this to work, over two weekends and an additional trip to Best Buy to replace it. We finally gave up. I was out of town the last couple weekends and when i tried to return it, with receipt. In original box, packed as new, even still had the box wrapper. Best Buy would not return or even give me a store credit for it. Now I am stick with an expensive paper weight . I will look at using amazon or new egg to get another modem. Best Buy should have at least issued a store credit. They were aware of the isdues that I was having trying to get it to work.

I have this and a nighthawk router. Woke outstanding. The WAN Ethernet aggravated x2 is Friggin amazing if you have a homelab or run servers or a network with tons of computers with static ips running docker containers or kubernetes clusters. Highly suggest! Feel like I’m speed racer (the original one)

Love this modem, you don't have to worry about the Intel Puma 5/6/7 chipset issues other modems have, since this is broadcom based. I am using this with Spectrum. Also it supports port trunking which is awesome.

Netgear failed again. This is now the second modem I have purchased to support multiple PC's and devices on, both of which had had its issues. This particular modem displays 4 CONNECTION PORTS all of which do NOT WORK except for ONE! When calling Netgears "Help" line I got told that it was only able to support 1 device being wired to it and that they aren't responsible for what the description of their own equipment states, I however do not only blame Netgear but BestBuy as well for a failure of proper description for their products that they sell. Startup process took forever, my internet provider had to reset and resend signals multiple times before it finally responded to the signal. After around 2 hours of trying to get the modem connected I am now connected, using 2 separate wireless routers that are connected to just the 1 connection port that works.... Needless to say I will be looking elsewhere from now on and am HIGHLY disappointed.

This cabel modem worked fine for 10 months and then had frequent drops in signal with my xifinity service. Called in xfinity techinican for checking frequent drops in signal assuming fault with provider and after troubleshooting found this device is the culprit. Not sure why netgear such a big brand does low quality products which can last only almost for 11 to 12 months.

Overall, it has done what it says it can/will do. The speeds have been as advertised, and was fairly simple to set up. It does throw off some heat after awhile though, so I would make sure it's in a properly ventilated area. My two biggest drawbacks to this modem is I wish I had more ethernet port connections and wifi capability. There are just enough ports to suffice, and due to no wifi, I did have to purchase a router in addition to this.
