I bought this modem after my internet with my service provider started frequently losing like every two or three days. This modem could not fix that problem, but however my average download speed boosted tremendously. It went from an average of (50mbps - 300 mbps) with a good router, to an average of (200 mbps - 550 mbps). I'm going to switch internet providers and i don't need to rent out a modem. I enjoy more intense gaming sessions on ps5 without much lag on ps5. Before, whenever a I'm in an intense lobby, I would get lag. This problem has decreased tremendously.

I’m not a big gamer or streamer, but when I do want to watch tv while others were surfing, I don’t want to see buffering. I had an older ARRIS modem that I had to restart constantly, so I looked for a modem that would last into my next speed upgrade - or two! Having the 4 Ethernet ports was something that really interested me as well. The icing on the cake was the sale price. Works with Mediacom - even though they don’t list it in their supported devices list, yet. Super simple setup with the Mediacom tech.

I had never purchases a cable modem before. I always rented from my ISP because I thought if would be difficult and too technical to setup. When my son moved into his apartment, he got Comcast Xfinity service. We already had a good router so I wanted to get a good modem to ensure the best bandwidth for his Internet needs. This was so easy to setup and worked to the full speed that was provided by the service provider. Everything is working smoothly so far. No more renting fees for the cablemodem.

Fantastic speeds! I am loving this modem! I was renting a DOCSIS 3.1 from Cox and after convincing the wife to spend $200, we got it. It pays for itself within a year and a half! Stop the rentals and buy one! It's super easy to setup and get online within 5 minutes (for me that is) Speeds I get based on Speedtest is 989 down, 39.5 up. With the Cox Panorama modem I got 770 down and 35 up. If you have the know-how, try unlocking the modem only to test its full capabilities! I wont say how to do it, but I was getting 1900 down and 443 up! I locked it after the test since Cox monitors these sort of things, but its nice to know its ready for the above 1000Mbps service coming soon!

I bought this to replace a 7 year old Motorola. This modem was easy to set up and works much faster than my old one. I’m downloading at 900-1000 mbps though Ethernet and 400-500 mbps wireless with cable internet. Very happy.

I have Mediacom for service with the 1 Gbps service. Since replacing their modem with my own I get much more stable speeds and connection. Average down ranges between 650 Mbps (Peak), and 875 Mbps (Off Peak), and 50 Mbps Up and often 60 to 70 Mbps up which is more than what I should get. I paired this with the ASUS AX5400 (AX82U), which gives me fast speeds all over my home and even 60 yards away out by my Chicken Coop even. The only con I will say is this modem while it has 4 ports on the rear, only 1 is active and can be used.

Modem was great! Although I don't need it anymore and has become just an really expensive paper weight ever since I switched from Xfinity to Sonic. Before switching to Sonic though, the modem ran well and was easy to set up. Had no issues with it.

Excellent unit! Replaced my flakey Arris SB8200 that was just purchased 8mo ago. This thing works great, and you can reboot it via the web page (which is nice) but this is really tall and kind of top-heavy at times. I took the stand off but the 1 screw holding it in place requires a T8/T9 driver to remove..I love the LAGG (Ethernet bonding) available in the modem. The SB8200 had that but didnt seem to work as well.

We have Comcast/Xfinity and upgraded from their up to 300 mbps limited data package to their up to 1000 mbps unlimited data package. Our old modem and router could not support the faster speeds and I didn’t want to bother with researching new modems/routers, so we went with their all-in-one Gateway device (rented). We had issues from day one with the internet going out multiple times per week, sometimes for just a few minutes, sometimes longer. We also could no longer get a good signal in our basement or in one area on the top floor. We had never had this issue with our old Netgear modem & router. Comcast was never able to fix it and even told us nothing was wrong. I finally had enough and bought this modem along with the NETGEAR - Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System (3-pack) - White. Success!! No issues with the internet going out and we have great signal strength in every area of our house!

Works great and easy setup. My kids steam a ton and my wife and I do as well. My kids can be streaming while we are watching 4K content in the living room with no problems. Have not had any issues at all. I have only had to reset it a couple of times in the year I have owned it. I have not tested the speed but have not had any lag on content or devices since I got this. The description is a bit confusing. It makes it seem like it has two ports but it doesn’t. Only one of them will work at a time. You can only add more hardwired devices with a router or a port switch.

I tried the extra fancy modem from "the big C" ISP, and they had to replace the whole unit 3 times in a few months. I got sick of it and just bought myself a Nighthawk as recommended elsewhere online. I can guarantee that it is an Xfinity compatible modem, though you may have to doublecheck if you have a different ISP. For most users, it should be a no-hassle plug-and-play-and-forget setup experience. This, paired alongside a Nighthawk router, has provided me the most reliable internet connectivity I've had in my life, though I can't really say how much of my past issues were due to ISP, modem, or router.

My old Modem/Router was proving unreliable. Every little thing would cause it to fault out. I found myself having to reboot it several times a week. This new Modem sets up easily, just like any other Modem, but that's where the similarities end. With 32 upstream and 8 downstream channels, I am guaranteed the fastest speeds. Nothing stops it; it has performed flawlessly since I installed it. I paired mine up with the Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Router. An unstoppable combination.
