Constant packet loss and progressively got worse.

It is future proof in case there is some sudden upgrade with your internet provider. I was using it on the Spectrum network for my 1 gig service and for some reason I had endless packet loss throughout my gaming sessions and throughout the day. I'd be skipping around in my games and the packet loss would last somewhere between 2-3 minutes per session of packet loss every 10-15 minutes. Speeds were over beyond what I expected, modem never disconnected, speeds were always accurate, but it progressively had worsening packet loss to where I had to can it and get another modem to see if that would solve my problem. When I got this modem there was a slim picking for Spectrums 1 gig service and I KNOW Netgear usually has great quality products. I went ahead and purchased an Arris S33 to try a brand I was familiar with in terms of modems and haven't had a single hitch. While I did love that the Netgear had excellent speeds, I was pretty disappointed that it didn't perform like I'd have liked. Hopefully, this was just a faulty unit because Netgear is usually good in terms of high-quality product.
