Love this modem
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great customer service & way better warranty than Netgear. Netgear was AWEFUL to work with & basically no long warranty to back their products & very hard to understand. Go with this brand--much better!!

Great for link aggregation
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Multi gig modem with multiple outputs that support link aggregation. If you have a router that also supports this feature you can break the 1 gig barrier by linking 2 outputs into the router.

Great value for a dependable device
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Netgear modem has been a staple for my family for years. When we upgraded to this model we experienced much better and stronger network in our home. This model helps make sure we are getting the maximum network strength to our mesh network that we are paying for.

I can’t wait!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The reason why I’m giving only 4 stars is because I havent tried it yet. I’m still going to upgrade my wifi to xfinity because AT&T sucks.. Anyway, the package was safely packed and everything is there inside. I can’t wait to set it up! I’ll update my review once I set it up.

Great but pricey
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is no doubt buying a separate router and modem is the best choice. Integrated modem routers have many draw backs that you can read about. In terms of quality and technology, this is one of the best but its expensive.

Exellent router
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Prior to my purchase, I had frequent WiFi outages which I fixed by unplugging the old modem for 15 seconds. I have had NONE since I bought the Nighthawk modem.

Owning a modem versus renting a year
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Paired well with the Netgear router and saved a lot of money by buying instead of renting

Replaced a Aris that was having issues with cable
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used netgear routers for years and loved them. I was having issues with my Aris modem (not sure if it was Comcast or the modem) but elected to try this modem and upon install my problems went away. It has been months now and no issues with my 1 Gig service.

Needed to upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My internet provider increased my speed and my old modem wasn’t able to process the higher speed. This was one of the recommended models and it has worked perfectly. It was one of only 2 left in the store. Took less than an hour to switch out and reactivate internet service.

||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was tired of renting a cable modem from my cable company, so I purchased this one, I have had no more issues with loss of service since switching to this unit, highly recommend this product

Not Happy with this
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This modem has 4 Ethernet ports, but only 1 port works at a time. I called their costumer service (they have the worst costumer service by the way), and they told me the same thing that only 1 port works at the time.. I didn't get it why making 4 ports then? and why not making it clear to everyone before purchasing! I'm going to return it, not worth it!

Died in 7.5 months. STAY AWAY.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this modem in March 2023, and it worked great until it decided to quit working in mid-October the same year. It died only in 7.5 months. Drop signals. Slow connection. I need to reboot the modem, router & computer every hour or so to see if it helps. and of course, it didn't help. I would have picked a different modem if I knew how much time it took me to deal with this problem. After failing to resolve the problem on my end, I reached out to my ISP (Comcast) and they sent a technician to check on everything and confirmed there's no connection issue. They also helped me factory reset the Netgear modem to see if that takes care of the issue. Unfortunately, it didn't resolve the issue. Comcast then determined it was the Netgear modem problem, and replaced it with an Xfinity modem. Problem solved, and no internet issue within the 1 month period I had with the Xfinity modem. Since it's only 7.5 months since I got the device, and Netgear said they offer 1 year hardware warranty, I decided to give the Netgear modem another try. I reactivated the Netgear modem with Comcast, and the modem was fully provisioned. It worked for a few hours & it failed to do its job again. After confirming it was the Netgear modem issue, I called Netgear, and the nightmare began. NETGEAR warranty/ support team made it as hard as it possibly can be so you will be just so frustrated to stay on the phone with them & hopefully you will just keep the defective item. The first Netgear specialist I talked to didn't perform any checking at all & directed me to contact my router manufacturer (eero) claiming this was not Netgear's issue. After jumping through hoops, calling eero & comcast to confirm there's no issue on their end, I called Netgear again to resolve this issue. After multiple phone calls & hours (UNBELIEVABLE & UNACCEPTABLE) on the phone with Netgear, they finally issued an RMA to replace the defective modem. You will need to pay to return the defective item on your own, or you pay Netgear $17-$30 for them to send you a replacement with the return label. There is no option to return the product for a refund. The replacement modem has been doing fine now for a week. I am not confident how long it will last. Netgear will NOT extend another 1-year warranty on the replacement device. That means I will be stuck with an expensive junk if it fails in the next 3 months. I am so sorry for this long review. But if you read my story, stay away from Netgear. Save yourself some headaches.

Works well as a modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The description is a little misleading. You can’t use the rear ports as a router unless you have business class internet to support multiple IP addresses. At least that is what I was told. Other than needing a separate router for that I’ve had no issues.

It works, but that is all you get to know.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It connects without problems but I would like greater access to its performance characteristics. You can’t get to the management console easily because it is a different network and when you can get to it you are not provided with any useful data.

Works with Comcast Xfinity
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had an older Surfboard because we were told that was what we had to have for personal equipment to work with Comcast instead of leasing their equipment. This seems to work fine with our service. Glad to have more options today.
