Powerful Modem
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded to this from the CM600 (which is also a great modem) to take advantage of my ISP's gig speed internet. Speed is spot on with what is advertised and setup was a breeze. Once it was all hooked up, I called my ISP and gave them the MAC address and in just a few minutes I had blazing fast internet.

Great Modem
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this modem to replace a cable company rental. Setup was so easy. One call to the cable provider and it was up and running on the first try. Good stable connection, and at the speed I am paying for.

awesomely fast and dependable as desribed
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works as described. My old Docsis 3.0 surfboard had gone from 100 mg down to 27ish. Called my local provider (Carolina Mtn Cablevision who are awesome BTW), got it provisioned with MAC address and was back on 100 mg in 3 minutes! its been 4 weeks and ive never had to reboot it.

Great upgrade for Gigbit Speeds
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded my Xfinity plan to gigabit internet and this modem has delivered blazing performance combined with my Nighthawk AX8 Wi-Fi router with 37 devices connected. I can stream 4K movies on three TV's simultaneously with no strain. The initial setup by connecting and activating through the Xfinity website did not work. I had to talk to Xfinity support and they were great in setting it up manually from their end in about 10 minutes. As other have said, the ports on the back are deceiving and Netgear's documentation could be better. Only 1 port is usable, the other are for link aggregation and an additional internet address if you have more than one service.

easy setup but needs another part before it’ll wor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hooks up very easily just takes a matter of seconds and it probably works but you need to know right up front that it needs to have a router with it so that’s one other thing you have to buy or you have to get a modem router combination watch cost almost $300

Awesome Modem from Netgear
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great cable modem for anyone that has high speeds such as 1gig download. This works perfectly fine with lower speeds as well but for my purchase I got it because Mediacom requires Docsis 3.1 for their internet.

A solid buy, easy to get up and running.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This cable modem does the job and was compatible with my cable service. It was essentially plug and play. Called my provider with the two numbers listed on the modem, and in about five minutes was up and running. Buy with confidence!

Get your money’s worth from high speed internet!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super easy to set up and use. Buying this not only saved us our monthly rental fee, it made our internet work so much faster. Just make sure to call your cable provider before you try to replace theirs. If you have a big house, buy the Google extenders and use with this.

Fantastic Install Experience
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m confident in Netgear’s reputation and was pleased with my purchase. Set up was a breeze. The modem works very well and my internet runs smoothly. I wasn’t happy with the price jump of the 3.1 but it’s necessary for faster speed and oh well. I’m still very happy with my purchase.

No more monthly rental fees!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Use with Xfinity gig speed internet and have faster speeds than the gig speed modem/ router I was previously renting from Xfinity. Easily saving over $100 a year in rental fees. Will pay for itself in two years and expect it to last a lot longer given the multi-gig speed capabilities. Also purchased a Netgear Nighthawk AX6 router, which is great for WiFi 6, but in hindsight wish I would have purchased the AX8 or above router to support the link aggregation feature of this cable modem.

Great Purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item after increasing my internet speeds, and deciding not to rent a modem from my internet service provider. This modem has been capable of handling my internet speeds, was very easy to set up, and has been an item I would recommend to anyone.

Great Product!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Modem was a huge improvement over the equipment the provider gives. We have 3,000 sf home and it works great with our Netgear router! Setup is simple.

Performs great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow - what a difference! Replaced an old modem with this one and the speed improvement is fantastic. We're using it with a TP Link Deco wifi mesh system purchased off Amazon and have terrific speed throughout the entire house. Three weeks in now and it's been flawless.

Top of the line modem, but with issues.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my fourth modem and the first non-Motorola (Arris). All my routers have been high end NetGear. My WiFi system has always worked but it has never run at it's full potential. When my most recent modem developed a hard to diagnose issue, I replaced it with Nighthawk 1200. It work great and had improved my speed. Then after 2 weeks it too went down. Long story short, I contacted NetGear tech, support and they advised me there was a mismatch between the modem and router. Never hear of this, but they resolved the issue. My speed has almost doubled and I'm happy. I like NetGear's products and there tech support is very good. But be aware replacing a modem may not be a simple plug and play. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with the Philippine support team...need I say more!

Very good modem upgrade
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: I bought this modem to not only eliminate the monthly cable rental, but to also upgrade for the future. I got it on sale for $179.99 (regularly $199.99) and this was the lowest price on the market, so that was great. The GIG modem does it's job, I have it hooked into a brand new switch because I need additional ethernet ports. Cons: I originally bought this modem the beginning of April 2021 online here and it took longer than normal to be delivered, I'm an Elite Plus Best Buy member, so this was supposed to be delivered way sooner. That modem was completely defective, I had to reset or turn it off and on every other day, sometimes once a day. Clearly that modem, not every CM1200 is defective. Being an Elite Plus member, I have 45 days to return a product, so I returned it to my local store and got a replacement. This is why this gets 4 stars instead of 5.
