Wow - what a difference! Replaced an old modem with this one and the speed improvement is fantastic. We're using it with a TP Link Deco wifi mesh system purchased off Amazon and have terrific speed throughout the entire house. Three weeks in now and it's been flawless.

This is my fourth modem and the first non-Motorola (Arris). All my routers have been high end NetGear. My WiFi system has always worked but it has never run at it's full potential. When my most recent modem developed a hard to diagnose issue, I replaced it with Nighthawk 1200. It work great and had improved my speed. Then after 2 weeks it too went down. Long story short, I contacted NetGear tech, support and they advised me there was a mismatch between the modem and router. Never hear of this, but they resolved the issue. My speed has almost doubled and I'm happy. I like NetGear's products and there tech support is very good. But be aware replacing a modem may not be a simple plug and play. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with the Philippine support team...need I say more!

    Very good modem upgrade

Pros: I bought this modem to not only eliminate the monthly cable rental, but to also upgrade for the future. I got it on sale for $179.99 (regularly $199.99) and this was the lowest price on the market, so that was great. The GIG modem does it's job, I have it hooked into a brand new switch because I need additional ethernet ports. Cons: I originally bought this modem the beginning of April 2021 online here and it took longer than normal to be delivered, I'm an Elite Plus Best Buy member, so this was supposed to be delivered way sooner. That modem was completely defective, I had to reset or turn it off and on every other day, sometimes once a day. Clearly that modem, not every CM1200 is defective. Being an Elite Plus member, I have 45 days to return a product, so I returned it to my local store and got a replacement. This is why this gets 4 stars instead of 5.

It may be a little expensive but it's just as much worth it. Has the ability to run multiple gigabytes of high speed internet. Sleek and slim design. Easy set up. Has multiple channel capabilities allowing the internet to jump lines increasing speeds and decreasing any lag.

Since installing this Netgear we haven't had any problems with streaming on the tv (before with another modem it would lag in streaming, or stop). We have a wifi with many things connected and haven't had any problems (knock on wood). Easy to set up.

Takes a little patience. Documentation is trash. Spent 4 hours trying to figure out what order to do link aggregation in to an RAX70 router. Basically go from ports 1 and 2 here to 4 and WAN on the RAX70 and problem solved. I'm on Spectrum, in an area where they barely care about service, and was having a lot of work related issues with the software disconnecting numerous times a day, which requires a 10 minute reboot for the entire system. Since getting this installed and speaking to the router, I have yet to have a system disconnect via Citrix in a week, where before I'd have 2 or 3 a day. Spectrum hasn't done anything to improve my service, but this is a massive upgrade over the CM1000 I had previously when you pair it with an RAX70, and for giggles I link aggregated all of that down to an S8000 switch. Things hum.

Powerful, fast, reliable... I dont know what else to say read the specs. I will continue to purchase Netgear for years to come. Personally I paired this with an R8000 Nighthawk router and gigablast internet and wow!

I loved the speed but ended up returning it back to best buy for the reason I found out that it doesn’t support VOIP at the same time if you’re using WiFi router. Either I have to have Vonage or I have my google mesh router, I choose the router.

When my old modem finally gave out and I couldn't wait for delivery, I had a seamless experience picking this up in-store (great covid precautions at the store) and had this up and running in no time. Super reliable and speedy!

Great modem for Gigabit/Works with Xfinity

Upgraded to Gigabit internet so had to upgrade my cable modem too from CM600. It does provide close to a gigabit which is all this modem has to do and then it goes to the router. There is also WAN aggregation that is worth exploring. Best Buy had a deal and also had a 10% off for my birthday so turned out to be an awesome deal. If you are working with Xfinity, there is a self provision option but that does not work as there is a firmware push that Xfinity needs to do at their end for Gigabit to really work. You will need to allocate about an hour or so for this to make sure you get the right speed you are paying for and they push the right firmware to make it work.

Has been up and running now for 15 days with 0 down time and 0 drops. Speeds are consistent @ ~450mbps. Only time will tell if it'll last as long as my previous Arris Surfboard SB6183. Setup is extremely easy and it supports link aggregation.

I love this product. I have a gig of speed with Comcast and didn't want to pay rental of $14 a month to use their modem. I paired this with an Orbi. Great coverage and speed everywhere in the house. Very easy setup.
