    4 Ethernet Ports?!?!

When connecting my Linksys Mesh router to it the other 3 Ethernet ports do not work. Called Netgear and they say the modem is not working properly but if I plug the router into any of the four ports it works. If I can only us one port, what is the point of buying this router?!?!?!

Modem Freezes and drops Internet connection

I purchased this March 5th 2023 and it worked fine until November 2023 and it’s been freezing up or dropping internet connection on all devices in the house I found myself having to reset the modem like every hour and sometimes it would work and sometimes having to reset multiple times So I decided to purchase a different brand modem instead of another Netgear called my service provider to add the new modem and so far so good it’s a bummer to have to spend 228.00 for it to go out in 8 months. Probably just a bad unit but I probably will stay away from this brand.

This router is not worth the money. If you have a smart home setup then be careful. This router has problems allowing devices to communicate when on different bands. For example, all my smart home devices are on 2.4ghz connections but my phone connects to 5ghz. When the smart WiFi is activated the router will not allow devices to communicate with each other. I would have to disable the smart WiFi feature and always be connected to 2.4ghz to talk to my smart home devices. Pretty disappointed, linksys has better management of this feature.

This product is a stand alone modem so it will not have connected device through wireless. if your router is also NETGEAR we can help you with the connectivity. If you need further assistance, you can visit Netgear.com/support to register your product, get help, access the latest downloads and user manuals, and join our community. We recommend that you use only official NETGEAR support resources.

Netgear advertises that you can plug a laptop and a router into this modem; nope! It can only serve internet to 1 device at a time via port aggregation (using 2 ports for 1 device to double the speed). This means at most, you can only use 2 ports in the back of the modem. They say their engineers are working on enabling the other ports.. They shouldn't release a product that doesn't have the software to support it yet. To find this out, I had to wait on hold for over an hour to talk to someone at Netgear. I was number 64 in their phone queue! That's TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ditching Netgear products all together.

Works fine. Nice and stable, able to stand on it's own (unlike the prior model we had (I think it was the CM900 modem which could not stand up without leaning against something)

I am sure this is a great product if it works for you. Unfortunately its very misleading both by netgear and spectrum. If you have the 1 gig service with Spectrum you CAN NOT use your own modem no matter what the box or website says. Due to that I will have to return this item.

Internet keeps crashing down. Wifi and ethernet wont work togethor. If one works , the other will not work. I have the orbi wifi system along with this and it has been the most unreliable modem and router I have used. I've had better reliability from the ISP modem and router ... Netgear wants to charge me $140 to fix it even though they checked my router and said theres nothing wrong with it physically... but I will have to pay in order to get the software or whatever updated so I can use my ethernet and wifi at the same time. Just seems like a money grab to get you to pay an extra $140. Save your $$$$

Bought this cause i upgraded to my gigabit internet and this product was nothing but problems. I drove 1 hour just to pick it up and spent 6 hours on the phone with bestbuy, comcast and netgear and got no where. As for netgear customer service they told me turn the modem off and on apart from that nothing they can do just return it and buy another. Ive always had negative products with netgear. Never again!
