Ok modem

Complete waste of time and money.

Spent an hour with Xfinity trying to get this activated but they never could find the modem signal. That perhaps is not the modem's fault but Xfinity's however really have no way to figure the fault out. Also what I was unaware of when buying this is it has no provisions to set your own LAN settings. My home network is specifically configured for the cable modem to be on 192.168.0.1 but this thing has no provisions to change it off of 192.168.100.1 None of the Netgear KB articles I read that explain how to reset LAN settings appear to actually apply to this unit because they tell you to go to screens that do not exist. What makes the entire situation worse is spent so much time trying to figure these things out that now see I am past the point I can simply return the thing. So stuck with an overpriced paperweight now and it does not weigh much so not going to count on it holding the paper down anyway.
