The only downside is the product’s customer support which clearly is not in the United States. Called customer support and two hours later still no resolution. Comcast however was able to help me resolve my problem in less than 10 minutes.

Good alternative to renting from Xfinity

Works just fine with the network. We have our own router to give us wireless connectivity in the house and it connects to our phone line to provide cable phone service.

Which means that it will only ID 1 IP address. If you want WiFi or multiple connection you need to purchase and attach a router to this device first before completing connection. Other than these nuances for novice users this.
