We have been using xfinity equipment since upgrading to gig internet because we needed a modem that supported voice. The modem was easy to set up and I am now saving my $13 a month charge to xfinity.

upgraded to this modem from xfinity provided router modem combo. My speed has tripled with this modem. I have 250 mb service and with the old router I could not get more than 100mb. With this I am getting 250 plus consistently. Furthermore don't have to pay monthly fees any more. Hook up took about 5 minutes. The router was recognized by xfinity services after hook up and I did not even have to call customer service.

I use this with the Orbi router and it works beautifully. Easy to setup. Extremely fast. Have optimum 400 paired with it.

Best modem for XFINITY internet/voice. This is the one to get! It installed easily & is fast. Had it for 2 months - not a single complaint!!

Upgraded to this modem and it really increased our speeds. We typically have a few gaming computers going and several phones and tablets. This modem works well for us.

This is much better than the Modem/Router combination furnished by Comcast. Took less than an hour to set up. Plug the Netgear modem in and call Comcast Customer Service. They remove their modem from the system, ask you for the serial number from the Netgear modem and talk you through the rest of the process. Pays for itself in less than two years. Paired with a Linksys Velop Mesh system router and now have a very strong connection throughout the house.

Switched from an Arris T25 to this because of multiple lockup/disconnection issues from the Arris over Xfinity triple play. Annoyingly, this and the T25 are the only modems to use with triple play because a voice-capable modem is required even if you don't even connect the voice line. This has been rock solid with only an occasional restart (maybe once a month) needed. Speedy with almost no errors in the log other than ones caused by blips in XFinity's actual service.

Purchased this, as others, to save the rental fee from Comcast. Overall, so far so good. Setup did not go as well as others had reported, may have been user error, but was up and running in about 30 mins. Not sure what went wrong but I was unable to connect to the modem as described in the quick start guide. For whatever reason, I was not able to reach the Comcast activation page. Call for tech support and was able to work with two reps, one for net and one for phone, to get everything running. The upside to calling Comcast was they removed the rental on the same day and was able to take the mode, back at my leisure. Now that the modem has been up for a few weeks, it has been issue free down speeds around 550 mbs and up in the mid 40s. Also, unlike the Comcast modem, it has not required weekly reboots to maximize throughput. In clising, I would recommend this product both for the savings and the quality of modem. Just do it :)

one of the best to replace those slow modems the cable companies give you. very simple set up and easy to use!

I purchased this modem to replace my cable companies modem & router combo. As soon as I was connected I was happy with my purchase. I connected my new router to it with easy and both of my house numbers worked with a little assistance from the cable company. The modem will save you the expense of the monthly rental.

This is one of VERY few options out there for a DOCSIS 3.1 compatible cable modem that supports VoIP too. It may, in fact, be the ONLY option readily available for Comcast customers who don't want to rent their XFi router at $13/month. Problem is? I never could achieve the gigabit speeds I was paying for when using this. I got 940mbit/sec consistently with the Comcast-provided router -- but this Netgear only got me about 550mbit/sec at best. After days of troubleshooting, Netgear support said there was likely a "head end configuration problem on Comcast's side". My signal levels all checked out ok, and the modem appeared to be provisioned correctly -- so that's all we could come up with. Rather than waste more of my time and money helping Comcast straighten out their equipment in their central office -- I just returned this to Best Buy. To be fair though? Many others seem to be using this modem without issue .... so I would still recommend others give it a try.

Handles the gig internet and easy to install. I shouldnt have to upgrade for a long time, so saves money in the long run

Easy to setup and highly recommend to Comcast internet user with VoIP. Latest Docsis 3.1 provide fast data transferring.

I purchased this product for two reasons. First I purchased this product because I like to own as much as possible my own gear. Just by doing this I will save $13 a month on my already overpriced cable bill. My second reason for purchasing this product was to allow my wifi system to get the 250 MBPS I am paying extra for. I did everything I could with the help of Xfinity's brightest to go from an average speed of 150 Mbps to 250 only to later find out that 250mbps is not available in my area. I should be angry but I'm getting too old for that. With that said, The router is solid and I have not had a single problem since I got it up and running.

Works like a charm. Good speed, easy setup. Would recommend for anyone wanting to get of rental fee.
