    I purchased the Extender for using my PS4 on the main floor. My router is located upstairs and the wireless card is not good in the original PS4. The Nighthawk was easy to set up downstairs near the PS4 and allowed me to connect the ethernet cable directly. Speeds jumped from a maximum 30mbps to well over 100mpbs consistently.

    I needed wired Internet connections for two desktop computers remote from my router, and also to extend the range to another area of my house. This Netgear range extended did both in a totally excellent manner. It was trivially easy to add it to my regular network and my 5G network. The extender made it all automatic.

    Even though the instructions says that it needs to be plugged into your router for setup, that is not necessary. It just has to be plugged into the any electric socket in the same building as your router. In my case, I set mine up off a hotel router on the first floor...as I was on the second floor of the hotel. It's the best unit possible.

    I already owned a Nighthawk AC1900 router but wanted to improve WiFi at the other end of my house so I picked this up. It is a bit pricey since you can pick up the Nighthawk router on same for similar prices often, but this was quick to setup and is just as good as all the other Nighthawk gear so no complaints from me!

    I mostly use this for a wired network of TV components in a cabinet to reach the internet. The wired ports are fast, the USB works well for a flash drive, and it was easy to set up.

    Didn’t have a problem setting it up. I added it to an AC1900 router. Only strange part is it uses a separate app to set it up. I thought since they were so closely related, it would be more of a plug and play item. But setup wasn’t difficult, and it works perfectly.
