This unit did the trick. I can now move my wife's home office set-up anywhere in the house and not have to worry about connecting to any cable or phone port. Her connection through Netgear is perfect.

I haven't tested the extent to which I has boosted my signal but it doesn't seem to have an effect on speed. I am using it in conjunction with the mid level Comcast service with wireless modem.

We had low signal in far- end corners of the house. I test it and find out, the low signal is effect of wall barrier. I moved my router to second floor so wall is not on the way now. We returned extender, as my solution is less expensive. But it was working great.

Good for extending range

I get 200mbps in the same room as my router in the basement. This extender is on the 2nd floor of the house and I get about 50mbps.
