I bought this due to my house being a large L shape. The master bedroom was furthest from my Nighthawk router. I would at best get 1 bar, so I did my research and decided Netgear AC 1900 Dual Band Mesh Extender was exactly what I needed. I now get 2-3 bars in the master bedroom and was extremely easy to setup with my Nighthawk router.

This little gadget is a total game-changer! I used to have dead zones all over my house, but not anymore. The Nighthawk extender boosted my Wi-Fi signal to every corner. Setup was super easy too. Highly recommend for anyone struggling with weak Wi-Fi!

This range extender works very well in my home. I've been using mine on multiple devices simultaneously for 2.5 years without any issues. I stream live TV and my son will stream or game through his Xbox simultaneously and almost never buffers.

Set up was an ease with the night hawk app! Very excellent range and my wifi signal significantly increased and faster! Would definitely buy again! I always bought products from netgear and never disappoint!

I had an outdoor balcony that the wi-fi signal from my router couldn't reach. I was able to plug the range extender into a regular household outlet, sync it up with the router, and extend the wi-fi signal out to the balcony. It operates seamlessly with the main router--you don't even realize it's there. I really like that it doesn't need any separate wi-fi address--it uses the same address as the main router. We can walk around the house with the wireless laptop (recently purchased at Best Buy!) and never loose the signal!

Every wireless device in my house has worked better since installing this device. The instructions were very easy to understand and did not take very long at all. Fully functional within a half hour and we have had no issues since. Now we have kids using devices to do college and high school work at home and so far so good. This is a great, low cost way to boost your home WI-FI. This has been in use in our home for about 2 months.

The laptop that I use primarily for Zoom meetings was as far away from the router as it could be while still being indoors. As a result, performance dragged, as was shown by low numbers in the speed tests that I ran. I bought this Extender as my router is Netgear. I know other brands should work fine but I chose to get this one and it works great! Configuration was simple and the speed on the laptop is significantly faster. It is well worth the money spent for me!

The device itself worked really well until it stopped working. Was really easy to setup and definitely helped improved coverage/speed. The only issue I ran into with my TV Service, which is over WiFi (not coax) and would run into issues with the cable boxes. I have a feeling I should have set it up through the admin settings and not the app, since my system uses a single SSID for 2.4 and 5 GHZ. This is also most likely a problem with the new Altice/Optimum Fiber service since it's new. Only 4 stars because the device stopped working after ~2 months. While Netgear Customer Service was responsive, the replacement process isn't great. The only options are to send it away, wait til they receive it and then they send out a new one for no charge or you have to pay for expedited shipping/replacement and you still have to wait for the device. They also couldn't replace it with the same model which isn't a big deal because it sounds like the only difference is a software update but it's still the principal. Also, only 3 month warranty for replacements.

Range is fantastic! Speed is pretty good as well, of course, depending on whether you’re using the 2.4 or 5 GHz band. When I got this, I wasn’t sure if it would be able to act as an Access Point vs a range extender. I wired my house with cat6 a year ago, so I was wanting to hook this up to one of the lines furthest from my router and switch vs having it act like a mesh setup taking up one of the bands. Would be awesome if it was PoE capable, but I’m happy with it overall. Definitely much more affordable than buying a mesh setup.

Just plug in and go, the set up process was very simple. Placed in the hallway on second floor, covers all second floor with full signal. Speed is outstanding and handles a lot of devices

The nighthawk allows me to get internets into my pole barn across the street on a separate lot from my house. Can stream tv's and music with no problem.

I added this to my Netgear NightHawk, now we get full coverage throughout our house and basement and most of our backyard! Setup was very easy and speed is great!

I had another Netgear extender that I purchased recently. I was looking for something that went a little further in range and saw that instead of adding "_EXT" to your network name, you could use the same name, I had to have it. They don't recommend that you use the same name, but I have not had any issues so far. Overall I am very happy with the performance. I did have to set it up on the web but it was VERY easy in my opinion. I am fairly techy.

I have IP Cameras outside on the opposite side of my home. This extender pushes the signal quite well now towards the router. This extender setup was very easy. I even sign in with my laptops while using them in the living areas several feet from the router with no problems. I have been very happy using this now for several weeks without issues.

Great signal strength, easy set up and zero issues! Does not drop signal and allows fast WiFi for my PC, which is is normally to far from my router to get a signal.

Super easy to set up. Plugged it in and was running in 10 minutes including the time to download the NETGEAR Nighthawk app. And signal was strong enough to be picked up by devices within 15 yards around the back lawn and a directional antenna installed on an external shop building ~70 yards away.

After setting this up with a Netgear R7000P we have had connectivity problems with wifi. Phones and computers randomly lose a signal, then just as randomly get it back. We seemed to have better coverage throughout the house. But after a few weeks it is kind of spotty. I reset everything and started over but not any improvement. I rarely see more then one device connected to it at a time. There are 10-15 devices connected at a time to the network. So I would expect there to be a little more sharing on the other side of the house. I haven't had the hours it takes to completely trouble shoot the problem. So hopefully at some point I'll get it working.

Works well and the Nighthawk app made set up super easy. Only reason for four stars instead of five is because I expected a little better signal at distance. I purchased this to use with Ring Cameras I have mounted around the outside of my house. It gave me the coverage I need and I have signal everywhere around my house. I just expected the signal to be a little stronger at the longer distances.

I'm pleased with the performance of this range extender. My home is 4000 sq. ft. and I often have difficulty throughout my home getting proper signal, even with a high end router. When installed properly, this extender has performed exceptionally , especially at its price point.

Firstly, this is a powerful and reliable piece of equipment...I use it to extend my home mesh network out to my planting shed and barn. We have endured multiple power outages due to weather since purchase, and the extender always comes back on quickly. The reason I did not give the device 5 stars was issues on initial setup. When first installed, it blocked my home network instead of extending it. I reset the device to factory settings and followed the instructions meticulously...and again it blocked, rather than extended, my home network. After a second reset, it worked perfectly..it very quickly acquired the network and resulted in a network more than double the original size.
