Works well, not good tech support

Called tech support but they were no help, wanted me to sign up for paid support. Finally downloaded a software package Net Gear Genie , Connected my laptop to the extender and was able to make it work. Not plug and play for sure

great wifi

While most all marinas provide wifi, overnight travelers are usually docked at the far end of the marina where wifi signal is minimal. When you add the factor that laptop work is usually done below in the cabin, the wifi signal can be non-existent. Each stop, I configure the Netgear extender with wifi name and password for the marina. I've been able to go from zero/one bar in the cabin to five bars. Works great for the laptop and streaming TV via Roku.

Great Extender

I had a TV antenna feeding to a HDHOMERUN device in the basement but needed to connect the HDHOMERUN to my WiFi router positioned in my living room. The AC1900 allowed me to connect the HDHOMERUN as a wired device to the AC1900 which then connected wirelessly to my WiFi router. No running more cables to my living room from the basement. I can now watch over the air channels on all of my TVs wirelessly. This has worked perfectly for over a year.

Powerful WiFi Extender
