Amazing range. High speed threshold. Comes with a solid base, and is packet injection capable with Linux based OS's. Would definitely recommend.

When I first picked up this WiFi adapter a year ago, I was using it for Google Fiber.
Speed tests from the living room (where the router was) to the bedroom (down a hall, take a right into another hall) was remarkable.
900+ UP and 900+ DOWN. Wow, just wow.
Now that I moved to another area of town that doesn't have Google Fiber yet (sadface), I was forced to get Spectrum (-_-)
Even when using their 400 DOWN and 20 UP service, speed tests were consistently 475+ and 35+ using this adapter.
It has never (knock on wood) disconnected me and always has great speeds. I would highly recommend this especially when it's on sale.

Plugged it in and it worked like a charm on Windows 10 Home Edition. Consistent and strong signal. The mount is a nice addition in order to avoid a USB device jetting out from your computer case.

Very reliable, never really drops the wifi. Also easy to set up.
The one and major drawback is that it seems to cap out at much lower speeds than the specs claim it's capable of. My partner's laptop is 3 feet closer to the router and gets about 600 mb/s download speeds on a stock wifi card. This adapter only gets a maximum of 260 mb/s no matter how close I drag it to the router (on updated drivers too).
Note: this is my second Netgear Nighthawk adapter. I used the first for about 1 year before it was lost in a cross-country move. Both had the same capping issue.

I bought the Nighthawk WiFi Adapter in order to back my office computers direct cable connection, which sometimes has connection issues. This WiFi adapter works pretty well considering that the modem is located downstairs and in another part of the house. My direct (hard wired) connection usually yields around 300-350 mps, while the Nighthawk WiFi adapter is yielding around 200 mps, which is not that bad. This particular adapter should work well for all of the computers in my house because I have a relatively fast internet connection speed to start with. However, for those who are connecting at around 50 mps, I think you'd need to be relatively close to the modem for it to work properly.

I was having issues upstairs with my Wi-Fi and this unit solved my problems. Super fast. Only issue I has was in the install. I installed the updated driver on the website (since I didn’t have a CD player in my PC. It would not connect or even turn on. Thought it was faulty so I returned to Bestbuy for a new one. 2nd unit.. same issue. Had to dive into boards to see if anyone suffered the same fate. Turns out I had to download an old version of the driver/software for it to work. Not sure why manufacturer would even have a driver with known issues up in their website or at least a warning not to use it. Other than that it works fine.

I use this product on three of my Windows 10 desktops at home. The wireless performance and range is more than acceptable for watching videos and downloading and playing games on services like Steam. I like that Netgear has a standalone installer so you don't have to use some third-party app to get connected to wireless - just a driver install and join to your network w/the built-in network management interface.

This thing is blazing fast ,it's the fastest adapter I have used, and I have quite a few bucks.it's Working great after I disabled Swusb in the services. If you see this service running after you install the drivers go to services and disable it. After that my connection stays strong and doesn't drop. Swusb trys to change between 2.0 and 3.0 USB which causes problems

Had to get one because my motherboards ethernet slot went out and its pretty fast for being wireless. Gaming competitively isnt bad either(averaged like 50ish ping on CSGO). Wired is obviously the better route for games but if you need this to hold you over while you get your ethernet troubleshooted or something it should do the job.
