I had an older computer that I needed to add wifi to. This was easy to set up, has a strong signal, and great bandwidth.

This driver will not install for Macs with OS 11 or later and therefore will not work on any modern Mac. If you read the technical specifications on the Netgear web site or talk to Netgear technical support, they will tell you that the last supported OS is 10.15.7. That is a rather important limitation that needs to be stated much more clearly. Before I knew this, I tried to install it on Mac OS Ventura and received an error message: “This package is incompatible with this version of Mac OS.” At least Best Buy made the return easy.

Does exactly what it is said to do. No USB adapter will be as good as a built in one to the motherboard or being hardwired in. For example when I connect with Ethernet I get about 950mbps, being right next to my router with this I was getting 300mbps. Still very solid for the price. It was a little weird to install the software and figure it out, but just follow the directions or look up a YouTube video and you should have no problems at all.

I use this on a desktop PC. It was very easy to set up and it works great with my nighthawk router. Plenty of speed...

Wow is an appropriate descriptor for this Netgear Nighthawk network component! For best results use with Netgear Nighthawk high end routers! When used on USB 3.1 ports, performance shoots close to or exceeds PCI-E card installed antennae. Highly recommended!

Before I had this adapter, I had an M.2 wifi adapter that came pre-installed into my PC when I first bought it. After repositioning it in my house, I came to realize that my computer's download and upload speeds were a tenth of what they used to be and signal strength was in the toilet. After I got this Netgear adapter and took out the M.2 adapter, my wifi signal returned to it's former glory. I do game on my computer and experience little to no lag whatsoever when playing multiplayer. Very good product

I love Netgear products and this latest wifi adapter doesn't disappoint! Setup was a breeze and the connection to my desktop is super speedy even though my Panoramic Wifi modem is in the center of my home. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Comes with a unique, heavy duty stand for it sit on your desk in case you don't want it just hanging out of a USB 3.0 slot. Super happy with my purchase!
