I purchased this item because my office is in a spot where i have problems getting a good wifi signal. This adaptor solved the problem pulls in a good signal. If you are looking for an unabtrusive little wifi dongle look elsewhere this is a big unit but it does a great job

Lightning quick WiFi, easy setup, attractive high quality design I was worried that compared to a little USB chip it might be a bulky eyesore but it looks very cool and sleek! LOVE the magnet option so you can put it anywhere I don't have a WiFi card/chip in my prebuilt PC and this saved me

It works fairly well and was pretty easy to install. The cord to the magnetic stand is a bit shorter than what I would like but getting the download and upload speeds I pay my ISP for makes me a happy customer!

My laptop modem was not working and I connected the nighthawk and it work perfectly. I’m very happy with this product.

Don't buy, this is the most unreliable wifi adapter I have ever seen. Most of the time it works OK, and then after 15 or 30 minutes all of sudden it would disconnect or lose a lot of packets for a few seconds, or a minute, or until restarted. Usually in the middle of an online game, which ruins it completely. Attached is a representative screenshot from StarTrinity CST, covering about 45 minutes. Of course, initially it was fine, only now after the return period has ended it's working erratically. Plus it has a nonsensical and useless app that comes with it, and even if you don't want that app only the driver you have to download everything. Horrible product, I won't buy from NETGEAR ever again.

This was an excellent upgrade for my desktop computer. It performs exceptionally well and was easy to set up paired with my AT&T Fiber router. It also picks up router signals all around my neighborhood, out further than what my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra as well as my laptop can pick up. The only hiccup I've noticed was that it was diaconnected and the only way to get it back to a stable connection was by a reboot. I don't know if its a fault with the adapter or computer, but nonetheless it shouldn't have happened. It has only happened once in the couple of months I've used this.

We have a Nighthawk AC1900 router downstairs in the living room with a 200Mb/s internet speed. My primary work area is upstairs on the opposite side of the house. In a straight-line, there are 3 walls, a set of stairs, and a closet full of junk between that distance. The built-in WiFi adapter on my desktop could only muster 5-10 Mb/s at that distance. Sometimes, it would just give up and shut itself off out of frustration using bandwidth intensive applications. I was considering a powerline adapter but I have heard they can be troublesome depending on the wiring in the house. I figure I would give a new WiFi adapter a try but I didn't have much hope given all the fluff in the way of the signal. I can only say I really regret not buying this years ago. Strong signal on both bands. I can easily get 70-90 Mb/s on 2.4 channel and over 100-150 Mb/s on the 5.0 channel. I couldn't be happier with the way this thing can pick up the signal in the worst room of the house. Even my laptops would drop and have issues in that bedroom at times. I really like that the antenna is on a USB cord so it can be placed in a convenient spot and doesn't have to stick out of the back of the tower. It is a bit bulky if you have a smaller workspace but if you want the best signal, bigger is better. Installation is simple as you just install some software from NETGEAR and use that app to connect to the WiFi. Very happy with this adapter. Occasionally the app will have to reconnect to the router randomly, but it hasn't caused any interruptions in my tasks so it might just be the behavior of the app and not the connection itself.

So far after a little bit of time using this wireless adapter it seems the be the best one I have found to date. Its super easy and quick to setup (drivers found on website for those without DVD drive) and provides a secure, very fast connection. The magnetic stand that come with is very useful and the magnet is strong so it wont move around. Nighthawk is some of the best products I've seen and definitely recommend to everyone.
