It works really great! The wifi speeds are very fast and it works well for all types of streaming and gaming. My only complaint is that it is a little clunky if you try to plug it directly into your tower. But the included extension platform solves that problem.

I purchased a new PC with no wifi card installed. The external Blackhawk USB 3.0 did the job. In fact, afterword, I added a 9' USB extension cable which allowed me to set the Blackhawk adapter on the highest point of my shelving away from the PC which sits on the lowest shelf. Works perfectly. Set up was easy enough. This gave me the added benefit of not having to connect an ethernet cable directly to my router(router across the room from the PC location)Glad I made this purchase.

I purchased the NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK- Dual-Band Wireless-AC USB Network Adapter about a month ago. Installation was easy through downloadable driver. The device identified my network immediately and after entering the necessary password connected without any issue. The connection remains reliable when booting my system and during operation. I consider the cost a bit rich and I would prefer the price point were a bit lower, hence the 4-Star's, however the device works as advertised and provides reliability in operation.

I purchased this to add versatility to my old desktop. I already own the router version of this device so it was already a matching set from the start. The unit is way bigger then a traditional WiFi adapter. It comes with a base so you don’t have it hanging outside of your system like a unicorn horn.... yeah... that’s the best way I can describe it. Like a dark evil and powerful unicorn horn. Other then that it was really easy to set up. You want the best. Here it is.

Fairly easy to setup, is best if you have a cd rom, if not read the pamphlet there is a downloadable code, but you need internet to use it so kinda defeats the purpose. I've had it for a few months now and have seen it go out on me about three times. Just stopped receiving connection. Before we talk about location its in a accessible place. Again three times compared to so many days its working is nothing, but its noticeable especially when its crunch time in school.

Works great to give you 5G speeds however under heavy load, it will periodically reset itself dropping the connection. Signal strength was never an issue. It was used right next to the WiFi, same room 5 bars. Looked online and everyone has the same issue. Works great under normal circumstances but if you plan to do any kind of serious downloading, save your money.

The built in WiFi adapter on my new PC is trash. I did a bit of research and stumbled across this adaptor. Best thing I ever purchased, took my download speed from 35 Mbps to 350 Mbps. Easy set up.

Easy to set up and gets pretty good speeds even for gaming. I do have a netgear router which probably helps but if you're looking for a wifi adapter to be using for your main internet connection, this is well worth the extra money.

I can't review how well the range of this device as its being used in an 1000 square ft office. However, I get max internet speeds of 400mbit. I also can use to view image software we use in the office at ease where as before it was slow or would not load. Make room for this on your desk. Its fairly big and bulky due to mostly the base, which is very magnetic and be careful what you are placing this magnet near.

Needed a solution for my son's new PC and was determined to run a network cable. I never considered wifi to be a good option for a gaming desktop PC. This purchase was an experiment, but ended up being a permanent solution. Setup was easy and it performs beyond expectation. The product is well made and the magnetic base is a nice touch. I no longer need to run a wire and wish I had tried this sooner!

when it's working it works very well, I was able to get 300 mb/s which is blazing fast to me. I spent most of my life using speeds at around 60mb/s. However, this thing is quite pricey to me and I expect it to be reliable. I've used 10 dollar dongles off amazon that would always stay connected to my wifi and never disconnect. It seems that this receiver will shut itself off whenever my pc goes to sleep and it can take around a minute or more to connect itself to the internet, I've once had to wait almost 5 minutes while it hesitantly connected and disconnected from my wifi after waking my pc. Installing the drivers was also a nightmare. After installing and reinstalling the drivers multiple times from the little disc it came with, it would refuse to connect to my wifi multiple times until about the 25th time of trying it finally worked. maybe I just got a fluke

Product works well and is easy to set up. Once it's connected to the wifi it works well. However, I find that more often than not I have to reconnect it every time I turn my computer on. Still, great product and does what it's supposed to do. The adapter is built well but is quite expensive compared to many other options in the same market.

This adapter was easy to install in Windows 10, detected wireless signals easily, and is fast. When we were packing up items at our house, for it's sale, the wireless router was relocated temporarily, depriving my workstation of its Ethernet connection. Purchased this adapter, and I was still able to stream and game effortlessly on the workstation. It worked about as perfectly as I could have asked it to.
