Great wifi router. Im not very tech savy but the setup for this was crazy easy. Havent had any kind of problems whatsoever. Setup is upstairs in the bedroom and the signal reaches all over just fine.even to the outdoor cameras. Definitely recommend.

I had an Arris sbg68... Something or another and it was dropping service and wifi would just cut out. I would have to unplug then plug back in. Well no more since I got this modem/router I have 14 device connected to it and doing all different things not a hitch. Easy to setup and range is better than my previous one too. I told my friend about this one and now he has had it for about a month and he said no problems with his either. I think it's great and fast. A little pricey but worth it in my opinion.

We've had this for just shy of a month and so far this has been a great router/modem combo. The "Nighthawk" line was recommended to us by a family member and the gentleman at Best Buy who helped us suggested to get one of the two-in-one combos because it saves some money. We were glad that we found the two-in-one in the Nighthawk line and we haven't been disappointed with our purchase at all. We have multiple devices that get used simultaneously and have not had any connectivity issues or problems with streaming, etc. It was easy to set up, too. I would definitely recommend this product.

I had to return the original Cable Modem Router I bought cause I needed the 24x8 channel bonding and the AC 1200 was only 16x8 I believe. Pretty easy to install, but I had to call my ISP. Some ISP's you can plug and play I believe, but mine wasn't. Not a big deal cause after I installed it and began using it, WOW!!! This was much better than the unit I was paying $12 a month for!! Not to mention it'll pay for itself in a year and a half and it's faster, much wider range, and I don't have to reset it 2 to 4 times a day like I did with the one I rented from our ISP. Definitely worth the money!!

When our service got a bump from 40mbs to 300mbs the routers supplied by our cable company just never seemed to be up to the task. Enter netgear! We now have coverage for our entire property and beyond. No blank areas. Set up was a snap even for the not so teckno inclined !

I have Comcast as my cable service and I used to pay $14 a month to rent their cable modem. Their modem worked just fine, but I wanted to lower my monthly bill, and decided on this modem/router from Netgear. Folks, you won't be disappointed! I know it can be confusing which one to buy, because there are so many options. However, if you stream Netflix, have kids at home online for school, game online, have multiple phones connected at once, or use multiple devices online at once, this modem will do the job and then some! It has plenty of speed for your everyday activities. It is a great price and will be a great money saver in the long run. Now, something to keep in mind in case you are not tech savvy. Getting this set up with your provider (Comcast, Cox, etc) will take patience and about 10-20 minutes. Once it is up and running, you will notice that the wi-fi signal will not reach its full strength and signal until it has been plugged in, and on for about an hour. This is completely normal! Test and see for yourself. Use www.speedtest.net and watch how your signal and strength will improve after about an hour of use. This router/modem combo is excellent, and will provide all of your needs for years and years. Purchase with confidence :)

You said this router would work with Century Link. It turned out it did not. On the box it said it worked with Xfinity. Now I have Xfinity for TY, internet, and mobile phone. I like the range of this router- it makes it possible to use small set up boxes instead of cable to watch TV. Got a great deal on a phone as well.

This thing is incredible. I use to have the Netgear N600 and had dead spots all over the house and dropped internet when multiple devices were on the network. This eliminated all of that! No problems at all since the upgrade. Flawless fast internet even when all devices are connected at one time (e.g. Netflix streaming, xbox gaming, laptop, iPads, Nest Thermostats, and iPhones). Use to drop internet to ipads and phones all the time. No more!

I had been using a different router with my Xfinity internet with blast speed. It was terrible. The range was awful as it wouldn’t reach my whole house, and it only transferred a fraction of the speed I should have been receiving. Once I got this thing fired up, which was as easy as any other modem/router, my range is massive. I can use my internet while out in my yard. I have a full signal at all locations of my house now. Also, I am currently receiving the full speed through Xfinity that I should be. This was a much wanted and pleasing upgrade.

Bought this to replace the modem I was renting with my cable company and it’s a lifesaver. Setup was quick and easy and I haven’t had any issues with wifi speed since switching to this modem. My old modem had lag issues but I have not experienced that with the Netgear modem.

Ah, the NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Router with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem - it's like a race car that was the envy of every driver... a few years ago. Back then, it zoomed through the internet superhighway, leaving lag and buffering in the dust. With its sleek design and powerful signal, it was the cool kid on the block. But alas, time spares no tech. The world moved to DOCSIS 3.1, and our Nighthawk, still rocking 3.0, is like trying to join a high-speed chase with a horse and buggy. It's the gadget equivalent of still owning a VCR in the Netflix era. Sure, it's great for nostalgia, but when it comes to keeping up with today's internet speeds offered by many companies, it's like bringing a knife to a laser gun fight. In short, while the Nighthawk AC1900 was once a beacon of connectivity and speed, it now waves goodbye to the newer, faster internet speeds zipping by. A reminder that in the tech world, you either update or become a charming relic of the past.

Purchased combination Modem/Router to free up space. Use with Spectrum Internet, very fast, wireless coverage is pretty good (2,100 square foot home). Purchased based on recommendation of Best Buy sales associate. Did not want to pay equipment lease fee from Spectrum and it is on their list of approved Router/Modems. This is the second one of these I purchased in the last 3 years. Typical of Netgear their units last 2-3 years before starting to fail, not happy about this but while the units are working they perform excellent. Easy to set up. Only have a USB 2.0 port vs USB 3.0 which should have been upgraded by now. Overall satified with the unit.

Setup was easy. It took longer to call internet provider to activate it than actual setup of the router. Works great and can see the difference in speed and connection with this router compared to my old one.

Excellent Router. Set up very smooth with Comcast. You can activate the device yourself using comcast app or web which is so nice not having to wait for support. Love the combo modem router as it eliminates a box and a power supply and the cabling from modem to router. Also since these devices are made by the same company compatibility config issues are eliminated. Now I can easily move this device which is fairly compact easily from one area of my home to another if I need to. One hint I would like to give the small pct of people who are getting dropped connections is to install a wall timer that reboots the router in the middle of the night.I had a R7000 nighthawk that seemed fo get messed up especially when connecting multiple times to netflix and or amazon prime. The timer turns off at 2am and back on at 201 am. That solved all my dropped connection issues. I will see if I get similar issues with this router and if so I will plug it into the timer. So far (only 2 days) but working perfectly. Wifi signal strength is very good and even a little stronger than the R7000 which is amazing as it has no external antennas. One more tip for those who do not see the 5g wifi signal. Change the “channel” for the 5g band from 156 to 48 or test other channels until the 5g signal shows up.

The app and setup are easy to use! No more rental fees from my ISP. My connection is great, both hardwired and wifi. I've had 0 issues so far and it has been a couple months. I love that I can monitor everything from the app and also set up guest wifi for when others visit. For the price, it's been well worth it. I have multiple devices connected at once, both hardwire and wireless, and I never see drops or lag.

Set up in a new 3200 sq ft home. The 2.4gz band covers the ENTIRE home, even all the way out to the garage. The 5gh is strong for the immediate areas (haven't tested it's range as of yet), but I have no issues with the connectivity whatsoever. The set-up was simple, and I'm definitely sold on the one device.... not one modem and one router taking up space. A+.

We cut the cord with cable several years ago and since the cable company never upgrades your modem but still charges you per month for it, I decided to cut another bill with them again. I purchased this modem which is strong enough for at least 3 cell phones, an additional wi-fi extender, tablets, and all of our streaming (2 roku's) and never boggs down, and no more black outs with Sling! Plus I saved over $10 a month off my internet bill. So worth purchasing your own modem! Extremely easy to set up had it hooked up and running in about 15 minutes.

I initially got it set up very easily. That's the good. But a couple of weeks later, I noticed my IPv6 address was going stale. Even disappearing upon restarting. (and reappearing upon cycling power). I've got that solved now. [1] the VirtualBox "Bridge Networking" driver needed to be removed, by uninstalling+reinstalling VirtualBox with that adv option turned off . that was definitely causing the problem. also, [2] Norton firewall DHCPv6 and ICMPv6 settings seemed to be interfering (I'm not so sure). [3] I also set the Netgear Genie IPv6 Address Assignment to "use DHCP server" while fumbling+debugging. (Comcast). That turns out to be a good choice I think, and the IPv6 addresses assigned to my computers are actually public on the internet. But here's where my complaint begins. The Netgear documentation is atrociously bad. It has words that fill space but explain nothing. And the Genie interface is astonishingly badly implemented in the basic things. The "Attached Devices" often are not sync'd, the device names incorrect or absent. etc. I discovered after hours and hours of testing and rebooting that you need to enable the "Security - Access Control" option and manually edit-in the devices. then what it shows is stable. sheesh. Anyway, now that I've got that sorted out, it seems to be running absolutely great. Really fast. btw. the USB 2.0 port on modern equipment is a disappointment, practically an insult. I doubt I'll bother connecting a hard drive to it for a network share, considering how slow it would be. I'm glad to see, at least, that the ReadyShare device can be disabled so it isn't another distracting unused icon cluttering the Windows Network page.
