I had to recently replace my Motorola modem/router (which only lasted 2.5 years before going bad). Like many, I am now working from home and needed stable and fast internet access. Having only used my wi-fi for streaming and the occasional download, I hadn't realized how bad my connection was until I was forced to work from home. After several troubleshooting calls with my internet provider I was told that the problem was with my gateway modem. Rather than calling Motorola to troubleshoot, I decided to just purchase a newer, better modem/router combo. I spent two days researching the best unit for my needs that would work in the Xfinity network. The Netgear C7000-100NAS received consistently great reviews across the board. I just spent spent 5 minutes installing it and I couldn't be happier. The quick start guide was all I needed to connect and activate on my Xfinity network, I was very happy that I didn't have to bother with calling their tech support to activate. I'm on a 100mbps plan and where I was getting only 28-56mbps on my Motorola router and was constantly having to reboot it, I am now getting 108-109mbps downloads right out of the gate with the Netgear. VERY happy with this purchase, worth every penny. I highly recommend it.

My internet provider is Xfinity and my plan is for speeds of up to 400 mbps. I bought this router to replace an outdated model which wasn’t compatible with my service—the old router was only delivering ~160 mbps download speed via Ethernet. The Netgear Nighthawk was a MAJOR upgrade and easy to connect. Instructions & activation was straightforward and took >10 minutes total. Simply used the Xfinity app to activate, entered mac address located on router label, and boom setup+activation was complete, (no hellish phone calls to Comcast tech support needed). Easily customizable WiFi name too. I performed some tests and was actually getting above the 400 mbps included in my Xfinity plan (~480 mbps via Ethernet connection). Has dual band transmitter (2.4ghz + 5ghz) and the range is phenomenal. Sleek design and well made. Very satisfied. 24x8 channels is a great value and provides more than enough speed to stream valorant on twitch while playing on the same pc with upwards of 144 fps consistently.

THe instructions for the modem leave something top be desired as they pertain to working with Xfinity as the ISP. However, the customer service at Netgear was responsive and competent and actually followed up a few days later to make sure I was able to get the system to work properly. Download speed with an ethernet cable was excellent but connection via wifi is no where near the stated speed -even after Netgear helped me adjust the settings. My system is simple and the product is fine for that. Not sure how robust it is for a more comprehensive network

This is a great product at a reasonable price. Best buy actually beat their competition. Nighthawk software for phone does not work after spending a long time with customer service. Got tired of being on the phone. Netgear receives signal well and wi fi extender is not needed with this model. Has a good range.

I decided to switch from ATT to the local cable company. This is one of the routers on their list. Setup could not have been easier. I did use the app from Netgear. The router is fast, easy to attach devices ( password is not too difficult to remember), and has an excellent range. This is a great router.

We needed something that had pretty good range and also able to handle higher speeds. This has not disappointed. Strong signal everywhere in the house and great coverage. Both bands work great and we have no complaints. Super happy with our purchase

I bought this after Xfinity upped the internet speed to my house and my old modem/router would not cut it anymore. Set up was easy and the speed now is great with really good coverage throughout the house. Note - Xfinity pushes updates down after set up and performance for the first day was iffy at best. But after the first day, it has been blazing.

The router/modem was very easy to setup. It only took about 10 minutes working with Spectrum to get it online. They are very familiar with this model. It is working well. My Windows11 laptop connects immediately (it didn't with the old one).

This router has rocketed me into a new world! The signal is so strong and incredibly fast. Updating my Xbox used to take endless hours, never fully updating. With this beauty Xbox updates were completed literally in minutes. Now Xbox, PS4 and all devices can finally be used at the same time with no problems! Thank you BB for selling me this top notch router!

Bought this to replace the one provided by the cable company that was unreliable for a reasonable distance. It has performed very well goes through about 3 solid old walls to get to my office and i no longer get the random lag gaming i used to. Havent had any drops or issues really at all in over 2 months of use. Very happy and it will pay for itself not renting one from the cable company.

I bought this router I little over a year ago and it’s a great buy. Saved me money on my internet service with Comcast and I haven’t had a problem yet with the performance of the router. I use it mostly for a smartTv, gaming, Wi-Fi for a tablet and 2 cell phones. It’s fast and easy to hookup. Love this product.

This baby has been great for us, lots of speed and power to get to the far reaches of our home. I've owned several Netgear products over the years and very few have ever failed. Am very used to their administration system now so I'm probably biased about ease of use, but I find them to be very reliable.

I have been using this router/modem for several months now. My computer and PS4 do not buffer during gameplay anymore when compared to my previous router. Also, there are no dead zones in my 2000 sq ft house. Previous modem/router's signal did not extend to bedrooms from master bedroom on split floor plan. Super easy to set up and interface is much easier with fewer glitches.

Netgear modem/router combo works great for my home. So glad I purchased it, it was easy to set up and register the product. I highly recommended this product.

Im very impressed with the blazing speed and range. Also the set up was very simple and I have a very hard time setting up internet connections. I thought $200 plus was little too expensive, but you get what you pay for, its very fast, instructions very easy for set up and very good range. I use netflix 4K, 3tv's 3 cell phone lap top and iPad and it works great. I would recommend it 100%.

I bought a new Ipad and found out my modem and router were too old to support it. I decided to purchase a modem/router combination rather than two separate devices. The Netgear Nighthawk was very easy to install and solved my connection problems immediately. I would recommend this device to anyone who needs to upgrade their eqipment.

I purchased the NETGEAR Nighthawk C7000-100NAS router to pair with my existing Time Warner Cable internet subscription. The Nighthawk has exceeded my expected performance expectations. No repeaters were necessary for me to install thanks to the range the Nighthawk has provided, with no loss in internet speed.

was purchased on sale. After having it for a few months. I can say that setup was pretty simple (don't use the phone app) I used the NetGear genie app on my PC and setup was a breeze. ISP: Time Warner Didn't want to pay the "rental fee" for the wlone they provide and this one can handle the speed. Which us great incase we go higher than 200mb/s It has tools to change wifi channels for better connection with devices, box says it doesn't pair up with "wifi extenders" for some reason... But it does, supports 5g and 2.4g wifi and if your extensions support 5g. It too will pick up the signal. You can setup "Guest" wifi account if you dont trust those sketchy friends of yours..and you can kick devices off too. As far as the app goes. I still have it on my phone because its somewhat useful (ONCE) the device is setup. Yes. DL it. Use it to manage. For setup? NO dont use it for setup..(I'm referring to the app the box recommends) Netgear Genie (YES) NIGHTHAWK APP (NO) Over its a solid product, get it......on sale..like me. =] cheers.

I was looking for a modem-router that was compatible with many different internet companies and enables a decent speed because I eventually want to get a little tech savvy. This works great, especially for a one-bedroom apartment. So far, I have only been limited by my internet package. I have had zero problems from it.
