This product replaced my Spectrum UBEE E31U2V1 Modem and RAC2V1A Arris Wave 2 Router combo. I have 400 Mbps service and the speeds of the Netgear Nighthawk Dual-Band AC1900 are almost identical to the Spectrum supplied equipment. The biggest difference is that the Spectrum equipment (WiFi) would absolutely not work with Google Chromecast Ultra where the Netgear works flawlessly with the default settings.
On my WiFi network I have the Chromecast, PC with a Netgear AC1900 WiFi card, Ring video doorbell 2. Ring floodlight (both on 2.4GHz only), iPad, Hue lighting, Lutron dimmers, Lennox iComfort thermostat, and a Samsung refrigerator, all easily controlled from a iPhone 7 and an iPhone 10 on 5GHz.

Replaced an older modem/router combo on Spectrum. Setup was a breeze and performance has been outstanding. Had to use a repeater for the back rooms of the house previously, and I no longer need it.

I changed from Verizon to Cox and decided to purchase my own router. After reading reviews and looking at products I settled on the Netgear. It was easy to set up and has proven to be both fast and reliable.

So I was recommended to get this night hawk router/modem combo. I needed something to replace my generic router I got from my internet provider. I had no idea what I really needed and needed some advice on a great gaming and general use router for 200 mb/s speeds. this router I think I have had for about a year and Ive had no issues with it what so ever! at the time it was on sale and I had to get it for the price. regardless it has done the job and them some. I have about five different devices connected to the router and I have not once seen my speeds drop and I have consistent connection and speeds. no cons i can really think of. totally worth it!

The Netgear nighthawk was easy to install and setup using the quick guide instructions provided and the setup was easy to perform using the Netgear wizard. Very user friendly to setup and use. The performance of the wireless is excellent. I had an old Netgear N750 which would not reach far outdoors, but with this new router, I can reach outdoors with full bars. The speed that this router gives is extremely fast. Definitely would recommend the Netgear Nighthawk for anyone who is looking to upgrade their cable modem and router and needs high speed wireless and would like better wireless coverage. The price is high, but try to purchase it on sale. Also Best Buy offers a trade in for your old router or modem and they give you an additional 10% off the price. Well worth it.

I purchased several different routers prior to this one, none of which would provide wifi coverage throughout my home. After reading the reviews, I thought I'd give it a try, and I'm glad I did. Nice, strong signal throughout the entire house. Awesome speeds. Definitely worth the price!

Easy to set up. Way faster than Suddenlinks router they had rented to me. Had 8-10 people watching Netfix, surfing the web, streaming videos all at the same time. No noticeable issues

I got this to replace my Mom's combination modem/router, and it's working very well. I had tried to urge her to consider a separate modem and mesh router system, as I use at home, but she wanted to minimize the clutter. This has good range, reaching far downstairs with faster speeds than the prior system (with 75% compared to 100% upstairs).
It does have 5G, but it's an entirely separate band. That means you have to log off the 2.4 band and then log into the 5G. I guess I'm spoiled by my Orbi, which hands me off to whatever band would give me the strongest signal at that time, automatically. So, when you look on your device for all the available wifi signals, you'll see broadcast just from this modem/router the 2.4 and 5 G bands, as well as the 2.4 and 5 G guest network bands (should you enable them).
Overall, a very good product, easily delivering fast speeds. If you're wanting better wifi coverage in your larger or complicated home, and don't mind spending more and having a separate router with at least one satellite, then I would go with the Orbi.

My old Netgear modem/router started dropping out intermittently. It worked well for 5 years so I thought I'd stick with them. I got the AC1900 and it worked great for about a month. My download speeds were faster than my old modem and no more dropped internet. Then the 5GHz band started dropping out. The 2.4GHz band always worked fine. I used Netgear's online support which had me reset everything and change channels, none of which helped. Then they closed my case without it being resolved. I ended up returning the router under warranty and ordering another one which is working fine. The product would be great if I didn't have reservations about their quality and tech support.

NETGEAR - Nighthawk Dual-Band AC1900 Router with 24 x 8 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem - Black was very easy to setup and has been working perfectly for some time now. The dual WiFI channels allows me to route traffic between the channels. It is a little spendy but worth the price in my eyes.

I have been suffering with an antiquated modem and separate router for years but finally decided to put myself out of my misery and upgrade. This product finally allows me to utilize the fast internet download speed I've been paying for but which was strangled by my old equipment. And it was unbelievably simple to install by following the Quick Install instructions. Just connect it and let your computer or other devices find the new modem, type in the password and you're virtually done. It also connects automatically to Comcast's Xfinity to allow you to complete your registration. I am very pleased with this purchase.

My internet provider likes to try to rent you a modem/router combo for a monthly fee. About a year ago, I bought my own modem and router to avoid this fee. It worked for a while, but I wanted a speed boost.
I purchased this product because of the advertised speed boost and because it's an all-in-one solution (modem and router). I immediately noticed a huge speed boost. My internet is now actually faster than the maximum speed advertised by my provider in my plan.
Set-up was a breeze. I literally just plugged it in and was ready to go. You just need to make sure you register the device with your internet provider.
