Nice product but it’s Wi-Fi distance that it covers isn’t really great you need to buy the Wi-Fi extender from net gear that works with the net gear router then you get excellent coverage!

Has been working well. Setup instructions need a little work, but I was able to get everything working before much time. Overall, I'm impressed with the item.

The output has been excellent. The only negative, and it is only a problem every three months or so, if that I have to power the unit down and reboot it as it freezes up.

Great Name, Not so Great Router...

Bought this NETGEAR Router with high-hopes of it being a quality item that NETGEAR is known for. However, within about three months of purchased the router constantly dropped connections and was constantly needing rebooted to use it. When it worked, it worked great but the constant dropping of connections (particularly on the 5 GHz side) was a true annoyance. I replaced the entire system with a Google Mesh Wifi system and haven't had any problems since...

Great product, but sometimes difficult to set up depending on location the unit is placed in the home and the other electronic equipment located near the router itself.

Purchased this router to replace a very unreliable TP Link router that was less than two years old. Easy to set up/install and so far is a much better and more reliable WiFi Router.

    Shoddy 5ghz antenna

Worked okay for a while, but as soon as the 1-year warranty expired the 5ghz started acting up. The SSID began randomly inserting strange characters. I was going to factory reset and set it back up again to fix it but my attention was drawn away. A year later I remembered it and did this, but the 5ghz was GONE. No channel was listed under the info for the antenna. Reading up I discovered on pages upon pages on websites including Netgear's own, the hardware for the 5ghz was highly susceptible to heat and failure. So you can only rely on the 2.4ghz antenna on this model. And once the 5ghz antenna goes out, rebooting will take a long time. I also began having problems with the unit randomly going out. If you do access control (allowing ONLY certain MAC addresses to access your network), the Netgear interface CANNOT handle this properly. You might be able to add a device but you'll NEVER be able to edit or delete it. This has NEVER been fixed in four years (two routers) of their web settings interface. (I will not use limited smart phone apps.) Plus, automatic update for firmware doesn't always work. The most recent update was (apparently) 1/18 and it wasn't pushed to my router. Unsurprisingly it broke more than it fixed, removing plenty of features (like antenna transmit power) to the point where I'm done with Netgear products.

The WiFi and internet portion work well but the unit physically can use some work as the posts for the WiFi to cast out are flimsy and fall every once in a while.

Very good router if you have less than 30 devices. After that it is very unstable and reboots alot. Have to upgrade to mesh if you have more.

Prior to purchasing and setting this up our WiFi was slow and had dead spots in a 3200sq ft house. This one works much faster and no dead zones. Multiple smart TVs, computers phones even guest don’t slow it down

I have really liked this router. The built in firewall is great for blocking malicious content! Even sends me a message on my phone when something is blocked (allowing me to question the kid). :)

I kept having trouble with cable tv then cut the cable and streaming tv- freezing, going black, etc. not being tech knowledgeable, I decided to try a more powerful wireless router. It works great, no more problems!

I live in a very congested area, so it’s hard for me to get good wireless. This did improve it but still wasn’t good enough for online gaming on my ps4, so EThernet cable was my solution

So far had no issues with this router. The app to control is good in design. Only thing is the antennas go loose frequently and keep falling off. Should look at how to fix them without falling out.
