A router with really high potential but unreliable

However, after usage over time, I had run-ins to issues others had had; the 5Ghz dropping. At first, I resolved it with a restart and some time, but as this kept on happening, I realized the chip itself was not cooled! This is a 200 dollar router and I can't justify the missing cooler needed for just a hot running chip, it was no wonder the 5Ghz was not working! It stings a bit when I spend quite a lot on this router at the time. Overall, a potentially capable product but unreliable, and doesn't do one of its main advertised features well.
