Terrible if you have a tri level home. I had to return

As for now, the 5g WiFi just does not work. Only 2.4g will work and it is slow as expected

I bought this less than a month ago and two of four Ethernet jacks have already stopped working.

I bought it in October and by May, it doesn't work anymore.

Did not work. Had to return this item. Was very disappointed.

This thing didn’t even last a year. Waste of money!!!!

Did not work well with my Ring. Ring needs 2.5 this was 5.0

To start with, this router has a great look. The angles remind me of an F-117 Nighthawk, and I like seeing it on my desk. Set up was very easy. The directions suggested using the NETGEAR UP app, so I tried it out. I honestly didn't see the use. It didn't do much more than walk me through the directions. I still had to log in to set up SSID's and passwords. It works be nice if set up included changing the defaults. I use the Genie app to manage my network, but even it does not give the option to change the device's default admin password. I wish that was an option. I've had this router up for weeks with no down time or dropping issues. The speeds are excellent, and the MU-MIMO capability makes using multiple devices much easier. We frequently stream to two TV's and use mobile devices at the same time, and there's definitely a benefit to it. The range is pretty comparable to my previous router, but I am able to get signal two houses down with both. I have excellent coverage in every room of a 2300 SF two story home. What I liked the most was the ReadyCLOUD capability. Getting set up and using the ReadyCLOUD app was pretty easy. Logging in, locating my device, and transferring files was pretty easy too. I haven't gotten a chance to use any of the media features or Kwilt, but I will get into them eventually. They look promising. I got this router for free from NETGEAR as a part of a testing program, but I would definitely recommend it for the price point. It is very reliable and has a lot of great features.

Worse than the one I've been renting out. Returned it

While it did take a little time to download and fill out all the registration info online, the setup was completed with ease. This router is more than I need at present but should work with any upgrades I will be doing in the future. I have a 1600 sqft home and this work well with all 4 smart tvs, in front and back yards I still have full wifi signal. I had a Belkin ac1750 DB and it would not get over the 75 MBPS mark. This one shot over 200 as soon as it connected. Phones, tablet , laptop and smart tvs all accessing at once without loss of GBPS on any device. Could not be more pleased at this time with this purchase.

Received this router free from Netgear's First Look Review program. I have been using Netgear R7000 for almost a year now (also sponsored by Netgear), and it has served me well, no major issue with it. Now I got the new R7000P, the real difference is the MU-MIMO capability. Now, I have to be honest, as a typical home user, my broadband is limited at about 80mbps, so MU-MIMO would not make any obvious difference to me for steaming or downloading things off the internet no matter how many devices are all streaming/downloading at same time. But I did notice a bit more stable connection in AC connection. My old R7000's AC would sometime drop connection, but the R7000P never have this problem with me. So this is a plus for me. As for those of you who never had a Netgear router, it supports pretty much all the feature an high end router would support, VPN, port forward, QoS, vlan, guest network...etc. I don't think there is any feature that I need is missing. Now the bad part, I tried this new app they have called "Netgear Up", to help you do an initial setup of the router. This app is a complete waste of time, it only works if your router is connected to the internet (then why would I need this app at all), and pretty much the only option is to check for firmware update, then it shows you router status, which is also pretty useless consider I had to download a whole app just for that. I think they should have just integrate this with the Netgear Genie app (which is a decent router configuration app you should have around). Overall, I am happy with the router, it has been running for the past 2 weeks and never had any issue. And I will keep it has my main router from now on.

We've used this router for about 4 years, and it never gave us any major problems. Reach was quite good, although some devices struggled in the far corners of our house. Automatic firmware updates also never seem to work, and NETGEAR also didn't seem to offer a good way to get notified when new firmware was available.

This router far surpasses my previous one in performance. My gaming children are very excited with its installation! With numerous devices running and streaming all at the same time, full connection is still maintained. Its amazing. I would highly recommend this router. The signal distance was surprisingly a lot farther. Set up was also easy. The instructions were clear and precise. This router has so many features even though I did the basic set up. It is incredible! Don't we love new technology:)
