My Linksys AC 1600 quit. I replaced with Nighthawk AC 2300. It doesn't have the range as my old router and it drops it's signal occasionally. The speed is faster when downloading files. It works fine, but not great when compared to the router. What I like about it is the family and devise monitoring app. It automatically blocks web content on my kids devices.

Have a lot of devices on same wifi with 5 kids plus there friends. And each has multiple devices. Dont see any slow down speeds.

The Nighthawk AC2300 certainly gets the job done. The user interface that people see during the set-up is intuitive and easy to follow. The router is not “broken” if the internet connection is not immediately made. Call your internet provider and they may have to reset the signal. The only drawback I have experienced with this model is the range of the signal. This is perfect for a townhome or apartment. If you have a larger home, consider a mesh network system.
