With this excellent router, you can also purchase the Bitdefender Armor Security package. For a very modest annual cost, you get unlimited downloads (multiple computers) of Bitdefender total security plus excellent security software installed and constantly updated on the router itself. I purchased a second identical router for another home and the same Armor subscription covers both devices. Router specs speak for themselves so I won't comment on them here.

Installed this into my house after getting a fiber line installed. amazing speeds throughout the house, backyard, and driveway.

Having been a prior user of a Netgear R7000 with approximately two years of use, this unit started to fail and I was having to perform factory resets and reload of cfg files 1-2 times per week to recover functionality. I decided it was time to go with a R7000P, but within 24 hrs the first R7000P unit failed with its wireless signal strength failing, going from an RSSI of 350 to 15-20. I exchanged this unit for another R7000P and this unit failed with a boot loop issue on the latest available firmware in 6 hours. FActory reset failed to recover from the boot loop issue.I returned the second unit to the storeand decided it was time to go with another brand. I chose an ASUS unit that has worked our very well and has a very nice interface. Within 7-8 minutes this ASUS unit was fully configured and functional from out of the box to 32 supported devices on both wired, wireless 2.4 and 5 Ghz devices. The ASUS RSSI signal strength is higher then what I was seeing from both of the R7000P, therefore giving us a greater wireless working area.

I bought this in unison with the modem with the hopes of speeding up my work, I have a Macbook Air and 1000 mbps cable service, so I didn't come out with what I figured this equipment was able to provide. Maybe there's something i don't understand or I simple expected too much but either way I eneded up with the teh support figuring out the problems and even had to go twice to get my printers to work. I by the best to get the best experience, sorry!

Set up was completed easily by my 13 year old. Works well. Lights on top are brighter than I would like.

I still use a booster for the upstairs, but this does what it was expected to do. My gaming son is happy.

We had to upgrade for all the new smart device's in the house. It has handled all 26 so far with great coverage and no issues
