I wanted a higher quality router to use with Spectrum than what they rent out. Would have preferred a modem/router but have phone lines too so choices are limited. No issues with this unit and many useful features. With the proliferation of internet gadgets in the home, a router with these capabilites is needed.

I chose this Netgear for reputation and functionality. The app makes it so easy to set up and manage. I have recommended this to quite a few of my customers who aren’t tech savvy. Plenty fast enough transfer rate on the 5ghz channel for great 4K streaming. Reaches pretty well throughout my house (1900 sqft)

After installing this I stopped getting spotty service. I was however disappointed that if I'm in my backyard I don't have a solid connection to the wifi, thought the router would have solved that issue as well.
