    Works perfectly on AT&T.

Simply put the SIM card in and it works on AT&T. Might have to register IMEI and have specific plans on other carriers, but unlocked LTE-A devices simply work on AT&T. The app is simple to setup the device and can then be used locally or remotely to change settings. It’s nice that it can be used with standard modems for internet as a router or for cellular to either fall back on from your normal internet or even exclusively for cellular. It is unlocked so it should work fine with any compatible carrier, tested with updated firmware on AT&T and Verizon and worked as intended. Might have to confirm device/plan on Verizon but mine simply notified that a device was changed for the line. Only thing I wish was included as a newer product would be 5G capability but I understand it would increase the price. At least LTE-Advance works for improved service and speeds. I have gotten over 100Mbps with typical speeds 50+Mbps and 10-20 for upload. Maybe a future model will include 5G antennas but it’s not required for solid service or alternatives if you have limited options. Also, the availability to buy external LTE antennas with extensions is nice to pull even stronger signal. They’re standard TS9 antenna connectors that are fairly cheap if the signal isn’t great in the area for better placement of the LTE antennas for improved serviced.

    App does not work

I spent part of the day today trying to get the router to recognize the SIM card. I used the one that came with it. Used one from my carrier (T-Mobile). Also used one from abroad. During configuration using the Nighthawk all of them threw an exception that "an error occurred and try again". Tried to log in via Chrome using the default IP (wired and wireless) and the Genie also crashes. Returning the router. Really expensive and even though they tried to make this easy by locking some admin features and directing the user to the app it is really annoying and frustrating using the app.
