Not as simple an install as promised

Disappointed in Netgear

However, I can't even chat or email or call Netgear about how the router has changed settings on it's own. Lost an SSID that most of my stuff was on. And the app and settings were consistently slow. Why can't I call, email or chat? They want $$$ to support their products. Apparently after 90 days. So just over a year later, I know not to bother trying. Not sure when they started this but it's ridiculous. I've owned many, many Netgear routers through the years. I never needed support until now. But seeing how they treat customers in this regard? I'm done. The MK62 was half-baked in the first place. Handoffs were never smooth and devices got switched unnecessarily to the node, dropping their speeds considerably. I had the node unplugged for most of the time I owned it to prevent this unneeded slowing of my connected devices. To top it off, a few months later, they introduce a Tri-band version. Nice slap in the face to us early adopters.

Slow speeds from Satellite

Ended up returning it and got the Tri-Band Orbi Wifi 5 which rocks. I believe it is slow because it is a dual band and the satellite shares the band/connection with the other connected devices. Get a Tri-Band system.

It’s mediocre
