Customers are saying

Customers love the Nighthawk AX1800 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System's ease of use, extensive coverage, and quick setup. Many appreciate the strong signal and wide range, resulting in improved performance. While some experienced connectivity issues and found the app less intuitive, the positive feedback on performance and range outweighs these concerns. The WiFi 6 capabilities are also frequently praised.

I had a hard time finding a router that could give consistent speeds to my entire house until I got this. As of now it works great and gives me similar download and upload speed downstairs and upstairs. Two pros are that the satellite has an Ethernet cable to wire my gaming system. Also it has the newest Wifi 6 technology.

This is a great way to have your house covered for wifi , the portable satellite is great and has a option for a wired connection allowing for placement in a convenient place that would work best with a hardwire connection. This is a easy way to also add additional mesh system if you have more satellites.

The good - wifi 6 The bad - horrible range, speed drops off dramatically depending on your home structure. 1 wall between me and the main node and it drops from 350 to 80mbps, and I dont have a crazy fancy house with thick walls. It was fairly easy to setup however the initialization at first took 3 tries, after it finally configured itself, speed ranged between 300 to 400 mbps, I have comporium with 500 down and 20 up. My house is only 2100 sqft and in my farthest away rooms which isn't very far away (15 to 20 feet) the speeds go from 350 right next to the node down to 30. My old airties crap units did better than these, and I have had 1 disconnect happen so far. There are much better systems out there for this price range. Wifi 6 is great to finally see on my s10 plus but my wifi 5 system was better. I have 1 laptop that will not see the network either, not sure yet what's going on but I'll be returning these despite it. Not worth $230 dollars.

Installed in a 2 story home, about 3,000 sq ft. Took about an hour. It provides great coverage for all devices including a TV at the furthest location connected only by Wi-Fi. I was unable to the network name and password of the replaced network, but it was not an issue to reprogram existing devices.

Works well with AT&T Fiber. I kept having issues with the router that AT&T gives you where it would lose signal multiple times a day and didn't cover the whole house. These two little beauties cover the whole house and into the yard. And I think I've only lost signal once or twice in that entire time.

The setup was super easy with the app on my phone. With the Sattalte located just upstairs in my bonus room I finally have full speed coverage in my home office. The old modem/router combo with a wifi booster just was never enough for the bonus room and with WFH now the struggle for solid wifi was too much.

I found the Netgear-Nighthawk AC1800 Dual band mesh WiFi system two pack over all to be a great buy. I found that the unit was easy to install. The system like advertised took the WiFi to the back of the house where I was having trouble with WiFi signal. That problem was solved. However I now have trouble with my Xbox in front of house keeps dropping off the WiFi and it is located in the front of house. I also don’t like you can’t assign the band to be used for each user.

Works very well! I think I had way too high of expectations on what they were capable of doing for my Wi-Fi at first, so that had to get get adjusted. I haven't had issues with any dead zones or getting kicked off ever since, which were my main issues with my regular router. We use a TON of electronics that require Wi-Fi connection in our house and it's been able to handle it all without sacrificing any connection strength or quality. Worth it!

While the signal might not necessarily be any faster than our previous router, it certainly does the job of extending signal to further parts of our house, especially our detached garage. Now we can enjoy strong wifi while we are out in the garage and our myQ door opener works perfectly!

Paired this with the Nighthawk Cable modem to create a wireless mesh for the home. We use our wireless TVs, mobile devices and wireless cameras around the property without loss of signal. A great value to replace the usual wireless hub.

I purchased this product because I was replacing another nighthawk router. I had issues with dead spots in my house with my previous router. However, with this new mesh system, I have full WiFi coverage, even on my driveway which was a dream before. I am very happy with this product.

The coverage is amazing. With my ISP router I barely got a signal across the house. Now I get a good signal 100 ft away from the house! And the Netgear Admin site (not the Nighthawk app though) show me exactly how much bandwidth each device is using so I know who to blame for hogging all of my DSL.

This item is perfect for multiple gaming consoles and lots of wifi connected and streaming devices working all at once. The wifi distance is better than I could imagine we have newer phones that use wifi 6 and the speed increases on everything is amazing highly recommended and the price is fantastic.

It came out of the box and I was up and running within about 15 mins after a firmware update out of the box. I was running 15-30 mins and then the router crashed my cable modem repeatedly. I was able to contact customer support and support was GOOD. I was finally able to download a new firmware patch and it seems to be working now. Seems one update of firmware had some bugs (I guess WiFi 6 is new) and now this new firmware seems to be working.

Can’t believe took my xfinity speed from 100 to 300 plus, even at the satellite! Took around 45 minutes with netgear support to disable router on existing Netgear router modem combo. After that , no looking back. Even getting 250 plus in basement ! Don’t regret the purchase.

Works great. I like the app because it allows to turn off WIFI to all the devices connected to it. It's easy to add more units and expand your coverage area. I have 400Mbs speed Internet and runs smooth. I think the router can handle up to 1 Gbps speed.
