Works great! Great coverage and easy setup. Used to replace gateway router from Verizon Fios. Much better coverage and even wifi outside. 1900 square foot house. Verizon router wouldn’t make it past the walls to outside and reduced signal on second floor. Took a while to figure out what I could use with Fios and had multiple people at Best Buy tell me different modems and routers. This one was suggested by a guy that actually knew what he was talking about. Took all of 20 mins to install and setup

Got this because our ISP charges us for basic router. This is cheaper over all, and works great.
Super easy to set up, though I would say make sure to delete the “old” as it was getting a bit confused when trying to connect.
Once I deleted the old Wi-Fi name it had no issues and connected fine.
Connection has been great and love the slots for wired connection!

I bought this as my Directv one bit the dust on a weekend and it was going to be a week before they could come out to fix the problem even though I knew what was wrong.
BUT this will not work with Att- Directv wiring! So never got to use it. It’s still in the box as i wasn’t able to return it.
So buyer check what kind of hookup u have before buying this.
Took it out of box tried to use it but just ended up with a nice router I can’t use.

It does the job with good strong coverage for a 3 bedroom house; but it is not easy to set up to work with an existing wired network especially if that network includes one or more switches. I used the Android app to for setup only, and then I uninstalled it. If you are going to keep the app on your phone, then I urge you to read the Netgear privacy statement; it says basically that they vacuum up everything possible including your location and then sell it to data brokers. The app also tries to get you to spend a lot of money unnecessarily. The app does NOT allow you to access all of the router settings; you need to login with a web browser for that and the web interface is not designed to be used on a smartphone. I had a problem where the router was blocking internet to my main Windows 11 desktop computer, so I could not use it to login to the router to unblock it (the app does not have access control settings).

The bigger version of this model is defective. Went through 2 of them and all had the same issues (shutting off randomly).
This smaller version gets the job done for a house with 4 gaming computers, multiple phones, and streaming. All on wifi and never having serious issues. MINOR lag sometimes when gaming but I think that's a server issue and not our home setup.
The app controls are really neat and make checking things really easy.

My internet speeds went from a wishy-washy 80 Mbps to a consistent 320 Mbps. Wifi 6 really changes the game, I am very happy with my purchase. I live in an apartment and had a dog slow router that was provided by the ISP, it really sucked. Finally upgraded to this and paired with my TP-Link AX3000, I got some really fast and consistent speeds. Definitely recommend.

I am a fan of NETGEAR. I’ve been using their routers for a long time. I decided to finally upgrade my old router to the Nighthawk. I read different reviews on the various versions of Nighthawk and I choose to get the AX2400. This is a great router for the price and what I needed for my home. Downloading the app made setting up the router so easy. The speeds are great!

We had had our previous NETGEAR router for several years but recently had to reboot frequently. We decided to stick with the brand we knew best and have not been disappointed. The connection speed has improved greatly. It was easy to set up and has additional features, such as guest log-in. The only drawback would be for those who are not tech savvy with using the mobile app on the smartphone.

I love Nighthawk routers, and recommend them for home installations all the time - probably overkill for an apartment, but your question involving something a bit older, you’ll love it.

Ive always had good experience with Netgear so I stuck with it. And as usually great experience. This was very easy to set up, took about 10 minutes. Only down side is if you don't want to use their mobile app to set it up you'll have to do the old fashion way of seting it up through the IP..

this is ideal for my living - 2 bedroom apartment and no need to have the most expansive coverage available. so the price point is within reason and i purchased the nether cable modem at the same time. the only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because the AP couldn't auto install because stinking xfinity has to have the MAC ID to make the internet accessible. not netgear's fault BUT tech support might want to have this issue at the top of their list when an AP install fails. it wasn't identified until 45 minutes into the call. everything is up and running and security features are appreciated.
