This device is giving me the absolute worst experience trying to set up WiFi in my home and driving me close to insane. It refuses to cooperate with my ISP (spectrum) and modem to connect to Internet. It will literally just show fault connection every single time. The app does not give any material help troubleshooting this issue. And when I call their customer service, they tried me kick me around, making me call ISP. I will be returning this.

I bought this router to cover my 2100 sqft home. WiFi is barely able to cover it. My ISP after 6 months now has Gig speed available so we upgraded from 400 to 1GB. We tested at the modem ethernet output jack, and verified steady 960-980 Mbps out at modem. On the Netgear Router the two gaming laptops we have, tested on WiFi at 864, and 626 Mbps at 20, and 30 ft from router through 1 wall. One gaming desktop next to the router is a 13th gen i7 32gb with a TP-Link Ethernet Card rated for 2000 MBPS only got 560 MBPS connected with 8ft of CAT6E cable. I tried the other two laptops connected to the other ports with other CAT6 cables. The best connection was 652MBPS. Contacted Netgear support, was unable to resolve issue. Past return at store. Not recommended this for anything over 500 MBPS (attaching test screenshot with Cat 6E cable.)

    Great Router For Big House

When my older Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi 5 router was no longer meeting my needs I upgraded to the Nighthawk AX2400 WiFi 6 router and immediately saw a major improvement in both upload and download speeds as well as increased signal strength throughout my house (2 floors / 5 bedrooms). The WiFi 6 technology does do a better job of managing my network traffic as none of our connected devices have experienced any slowdowns when multiple devices are being used at the same time. My internet plan is up to 800Mbps download/20 Mbps upload. After running two different speed tests for comparison I am regularly seeing 750-950Mbps download/21-24Mbps upload depending on time of day. Setup was super easy as I was already familiar with Netgear routers and the associated app which allows me to easily monitor my system from my phone. Overall, I am very pleased with this router and will continue to purchase Netgear products in the future.

Best router for the price point vs performance. Replaced a TP Link router that went bad, and this was an incredible upgrade: coverage, speed, ease of setup using app, and consistency. If you're thinking about a router that will perform great, and not break the bank, this is the one right here!

This is my first time buying a router. I have always rented a modem router combo from my internet provider. I will probably never go back to renting. The performance of this router is way better, faster, and larger range. Setting it up was extremely simple and I love having the app on my phone that lets me control every aspect of my connection. I'm not a hard-core gamer or anything so I can't speak to that community but I can't imagine it giving any lag problems. I highly recommend this router, especially over renting.

Owned a previous nighthawk for 7-8 years back and it decided to exit this mortal field. Got this new one and it was very easy to setup and it comes with an app which I’m so genuinely happy about. I hated having to plug in my laptop to change settings or passwords. It’s smaller but more powerful. Happy with it.

Well in the end this product did not work for my particular situation, it's performance while trying my setup was excellent! Very easy setup, the app is very thorough and easy to use, and the quality of the product itself was great. I live in a rural area and was attempting to ethernet tether a device to it, and the combination of things unrelated to the router made this in less than optimal setup. It had nothing to do with the router, and if I had a standard internet service to use, I would have kept this no questions asked.

Needed to replace my aging Linksys AC1200 router. Was having trouble with wireless connectivity from far side of house, buffering on wireless TV setup and getting poor download test results. Decided to install myself thinking the install app would guide me through the set up. The install app ran into a problem it couldn't handle an referred me to phone support. The number the app provided was not a good number. I did reach support using the number that was packaged with the router. The support call was the best I have ever experienced. The support folks were pleasant, patient and very knowledgeable. The router issue was easily resolved and I learned a lot in the process. Now getting a very good signal strength throughout the house. Download speed almost triple what I was getting with old router. No more buffering on wireless TV set up . Very pleased with the router and the support service.

My previous router was a good five years old, it was getting rather slow and had limited reaching my house. When I upgraded to the Nighthawk AX2400, I was shocked at the difference! The television how much more clear and precise picture, websites open instantaneously, and all extreme corners of my house had a reception that was as strong as when sitting next to the writer. The set up process was incredibly easy and took merely minutes, thanks to the app. Two thumbs up, a great purchase!

We needed to replace an outdated Apple Time Capsule (i.e. wifi router + time machine backup device) and find a device to support new Spectrum internet speeds. We selected the Nighthawk AX2400 router for coverage, signal strength, and for the accessible USB-A port so that we could attach an external hard drive to enable a "time machine" experience for multiple users. While the strength and coverage are good, here are a few minor issues that we discovered: (1) Our printer had to be connected to the 3G band in order to be wi-fi accessible - however, each computer has to switch to that band in order to print ... a mesh router would likely support this capability but we cannot figure out how to stay connected to the 5G band and print to the wi-fi enabled printer. (2) We were unable to connect an Apple formatted external hard drive (for Time Machine purposes) to the router and have it be recognized by any wi-fi connected device. Subsequent investigations have indicated that capability has been removed to support some of Netgear's software features ... not sure how accurate this is but we can't recognize any Apple formatted external hard drive.

Got a PS5 and needed to upgrade the router to get enough data flow. Did the research and still had doubts, this puppy isn’t cheap. But it’s been great, setup was easy, speed is peak for my provided and have never had to reboot or experienced any slow down, 8 months since I bought it. Happy I bought it

No longer dealing with crappy spectrum routers that fail every few months made this worth it to me. Had 3 spectrum routers fail in 6 months. Picked this up and after about 5 minutes was up and running. I use a lot of smart devices so the extra bandwidth was nice. Also, two months in, and not a single beat has been missed. Better yet I can now consistently maintain the 500mb speeds I pay for. Whereas on the OE router, I could rarely achieve this. If you need options like port forwarding this has it. The app is a little weak at times mainly crashing, I have not had any trouble doing things on the desktop. So your mileage may vary there.

Picked up this router after getting tired of substandard Wifi from my included Spectrum router. The setup was all done through the phone app which was fairly simple. Luckily I didn't have any of the problems some other reviewers had and the setup was done easily and without issue. Speed and coverage is great!
