    Excellent product with a few "gotchas". Shared network USB media requires older windows protocol to work, thus opeing up security issues in Windows, to even work. Netgear should upgrade their firmware to include this. VPN is also a challenge. Other than this, other features work great.

    Our Nighthawk router/modem works great. We stream shows, we have thermostats, washer and dryer set up, and at the same time my kids play online games and there is hardly any lagging.

    This is a wonderful Router/Modem combination. After my service provider updated their system, my old router and modem would no longer work with it. The Netgear Nighthawk AX2700 proved to be an excellent solution for me. The setup was hard for me, but my son came over and straightened it right out. Since then, it has worked great!

    I bought an almost 400 dollar router in December of 2024. It is July 2025 and it doesn't work. Took it back to BB and they said they can't do anything for me. Contact the manufacturer they said. I went to another store to buy a replacement (from a different brand). This is the third and last Netgear I'm buying. Anything good about the router does not matter.

    Made the mistake of changing login/password when replacing old with new, so more re-connecting accessories than would have had to do otherwise but, other than that, setup was not difficult at all. Really like this unit!
