I love this Netgear Nighthawk System. It brought a major boost to our home wifi service. The service technician even stated that it was better than what our service provider had to offer.

At the recommendation of the Best Buy employee, I first purchased the eero 6 AX1800 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System. It was an absolute fail. It would not cover the area I needed and was not even compatible with my remote camera system. While returning the Eero unit, the BB employee at the register recommended the Nighthawk system. Much better range and compatibility; I am very pleased with this unit so far!

When it works its great, dont hold your breath though. The satellites keep dropping signal from the main router. Our wifi speeds on the satellites range from 1mgb all the way up to 200mgb standing in the same location. There is no consistency at all. I work in IT and I tested the signal strength from the router to the satellites and it should not be an issue. This system confuses me and is basically a paperweight at this point. Maybe I got a lemon. Who knows.

First was $300.00 for a new set of routers, then $400.00 for Nighthawks so called Security on said Router and the lastest thing is another $160.00 for extra coverage!! For the same stuff that was connected to it in the First place!! Dont Do it!!

Excellent product; this product extended the distance and coverage of my WIFI significantly. It has made coverage of the entire house with no dead spots easy. Expensive but worth it.

I’ve had another Netgear Nighthawk router that I loved so I thought we’d give the Nighthawk Mesh system a try. Setup and use were super easy with the app and I’ve been very pleased with the coverage we’re now getting in our apartment. I can’t wait to see how it performs once we move into a house. Luckily, it was on sale and with some Best Buy rewards, we were able to pick it up for under $300.

Started out great but lost the internet off and on. Product died short of one year use. Was able to cover a large house and some of the one acre yard. Up to 25 devices at one time.

Bought this Tri band mesh router after my 3 yr old dual band router conked out. Have to say this is a great product and so far great connectivity with no dead zones on all three levels of my house. Took me about 30 mins to unpack, download the app and set it up. It’s a pretty good product for the price I paid and would recommend to anyone looking for a router for a large home.

Great WiFi Range But Poor Performance

I have AT&T Fiber as my internet. I am paying for gigabit speeds which is awesome. Before purchasing this Netgear mesh system, I’ve had the Netgear Nighthawk R9000 with the EX7000 (WiFi Range Extender. My speed tests with the R9000 came very close to 1000 mbps for both upload and download. The reason why I purchased this mesh system was due to my R9000 WiFi range. The mesh system does great with beam forming. I was able to connect to the wifi from the farthest point of my backyard. The trail version of Bitlocker defender did help me detect suspicious activity in my network. Unfortunately over time, this mesh system started to impact my upload speed. I went from 1000 mb/s to 50 mb/s. I’m my disappointed in its performance.
