No lagging!

Great WiFi Range But Poor Performance

I am paying for gigabit speeds which is awesome. Before purchasing this Netgear mesh system, I’ve had the Netgear Nighthawk R9000 with the EX7000 (WiFi Range Extender. My speed tests with the R9000 came very close to 1000 mbps for both upload and download. The reason why I purchased this mesh system was due to my R9000 WiFi range. The mesh system does great with beam forming. I was able to connect to the wifi from the farthest point of my backyard. The trail version of Bitlocker defender did help me detect suspicious activity in my network. Unfortunately over time, this mesh system started to impact my upload speed. I went from 1000 mb/s to 50 mb/s. I’m my disappointed in its performance.

Mesh network works well!

It took a little effort to get it working initially but has worked great since then.

For the cost Netgear should have included a usb port so you can use a hard drive for NAS/DLNA. Satellites have 2 ethernet ports while the main has 4. Also not worth it at msrp, during Black Friday sales I got it for $299, which is the same as buying two quality wifi 6 routers and backhauling them yourself.

Perfect Wi-Fi 6 mesh system

It's easy to setup with your existing wi-fi using the included app and all devices already connected on your network can be transferred over seamlessly if you use the same network ID and password. No complaints about the range or signal strength.

Not impressed

Wireless connections constantly freeze, two hard-wired devices work great but WiFi is flaky. If issues continue will return.

Pretty reliable mesh network
