Don’t buy this!

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I looked at reviews prior to purchasing and wish I hadn’t ignored the poor reviews…figured 80% were happy, I’d take that chance. When it randomly goes out on you after 90 days Netgear attempts to sell you a service contract to fix the router. After 11 months it just randomly started disconnecting. I’ve reset the entire systemand it works intermittently. In the end I wish I’d listened to the salesperson and purchased a different system.

Garbage

Small Conectivity issue.

I took it back the next week because the performance was just unreliable and very frustrating. I had to reboot either the router or a satellite at least once per day because my bandwidth would just go to nothing. This mesh system is also bad at steering devices to the satellite with the best signal. I could be standing 5 feet from a satellite and my phone would stay connected to the router 40 feet away with a weak signal. I even updated the firmware, hoping it would fix the issues. Nope. I swear it got worse. On top of all the performance issues, the Nighthawk app isn't very good and the web UI is worse. Netgear didn't even hit the ball out of the infield with this system. No router or mesh system that costs $500 should be this bad. I exchanged the Nighthawk for an eero Pro 6 mesh system and I've had zero issues. The eero Pro 6 was easier to set up and has a much better app.
