Awesome Fast Home WiFi
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Previously, I had a WiFi system provided by my cable company but decided to upgrade to this due to frequent issues. This has been a great change and I wish I did it sooner. I have a 500mbps speed and am retrieving above that to my main router. No regrets what so ever. Thanks Netgear!

Mesh -- better off with Nighthawk R8000
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to connect, but my coverage was much better with my Nighthawk R8000. My home is upstairs, ground floor and basement -- i have a satellite on each floor. I get lags on the TV, the Peleton, the computers and handhelds. Not a good way to start.

Fantastic coverage and easy setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this mesh wifi to replace an old deco set up that couldn’t keep up with the number of devices in my household. Setup was super simple and coverage for my house has improved as well as speeds to all devices.

great for wifi intense homes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this mesh network to upgrade from a linksys system. The linksys was good but I am adding a lot more wireless technology in my house and wanted to make sure I had the best speed and connectivity. Setup was easy and the app makes configuring the network smooth. Great speed all over my house. I have spectrum internet

Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router set up is like nothing I've ever seen. It covers a huge area, from the house to the barn, to the garden. The signal is unbelievable!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a huge area to cover.

Works for me!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Arrived yesterday and I had it set up in minutes without having to search for manuals or online answers. AND -- it works!! I had been having difficulties with WiFi connections in the house and those have now disappeared. I haven't tried WiFi 6. I have an AT&T modem with a dual-band router built in ... and all I did was plug this one into that one ... and then followed the instructions on the app that I loaded onto my iPhone. And ... bam! ... I now have 5Ghz signal all over, where I could previously get that only in the same room as my router. This is NOT a highly technical review ... I didn't do anything fancy ... I just wanted something that would work. And it seems it does

Netgain
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded to Wi-Fi 6 from my previous Nighthawk X6 and I’m very impressed. App is user friendly and alerts you every time a new device is added with an option to assign devices whatever name you like. For those with a ton of devices I would recommend assigning names as they are added to avoid losing track of what device is what in the long list. An upgraded list of device icons is nice too. I’ve tried other routers in the beginning of the internet of everything and standby Netgear over all the rest, Nighthawks are the best!

Not worth it -- has problems, sketchy support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've seen this mesh system randomly drop speeds on the satellites. I have gigabit fiber coming in. Basically what is 500Mbps on wifi one day will be 5Mbps the next. If you connect to the main Nighthawk router and not a satellite, there isn't a speed issue. Even in "AP Mode" where this setup is as dumb as possible, it still randomly does this on the satellites and requires restarting the entire mesh to restore speeds. Netgear support did try to help, and I thought their suggestion would work... so I paid $65 to extend my support beyond the initial few months they give you. That was a mistake. I called back as this issue persisted and they put me on hold for a bit, then eventually hung up on me. When it works, coverage and speed is good. When and if it works. I can't recommend Netgear at all. Buy another mesh system. There are plenty out there. We loved our old Netgear Orbi and figured this system here would be an upgrade... but the hardware and their support isn't worth the investment.

Is it possible to give a 0 star review?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Because if it is, this product wouldn't be getting ANY starts from me. Let me start out by saying that my parent's house is the hangout spot and between them, myself, my sister and 3 kids and my grandparents who are living there as well, we all share 30+ devices that connect to the internet to stream music, Neflix, videos games, you name it. So quite naturally we have a pretty congested network and it's also hard to get a strong steady signal in the basement to ensure those further away devices can still stream without interruptions. So after doing some research I found that a WiFi mesh system should (in theory) solve all of the issues I've just described so that everyone is happy with their connected devices. So after doing some research and asking the sales associates at my local Best Buy for recommended mesh systems, I decided to choose the Nighthawk AX3600 and man was I on my for a rude awakening. Once I got home, I proceeded to open up the box and hook up the router module to my modem. Easy breezy, lemon peasy. Next I walk down to the main floor to setup the first satellite module and this is when I first started getting issues. At first the Netgear App wasn't able to detect the satellite even though it was less than 20 ft away from the router. But at this point I gave it the benefit of the doubt and just power cycled and re-positioned the satellite to ensure the router can find it and it eventually did.....15 minutes later. Now here's where things get a bit spicy. I then walk downstairs to the basement to place the 2nd satellite in a spot where I thought would have the least amount of interference to ensure a good connection through and through. So I proceed to setup the module and 15 minutes of searching...no dice. Ok cool, maybe I didn't have it in the most optimal location, let me move it somewhere else. Module is moved, and now I'm scanning so the router can find it....15 minutes later "404: Satellite Not Found". At this point I'm scratching my head and asking myself what am I doing wrong?? So I read "Help" section and came across a note that detailed what the status indicator colors meant. Currently the satellite's status indicator is solid blue which means that "The mode has a good connection and is behaving normally". But on the Netgear app, it says that it can't find the satellite. Hmmm...someone is lying. Nevertheless, I, decided to trust the status indicator light and bypass the false negative the app was telling me. After an hour and a half of fumbling with the satellites, it's now time to setup the router...so after about 10 minutes of searching for the router I went through several setup screens and every time I'd get to the last step, the app would freeze and I'd had to exit the setup and start all over again! This happed at least 5 times and each time it took 20 minutes just to get to the same spot it hung the last time. Eventually I was able to get the router setup and I thought I was finally in the Promised Land...WRONG! About 5 minutes after getting everything setup, all the sudden all of our connected devices lose internet connection. Then five minutes later, everything would be connected again, 10 minutes later, connection dropped. It was like this all night and would never keep a steady connection no matter where we were in the house. At this point I'm fed up with this $400 paper wight so I return to Best Buy the next day. The cashier joked about us about getting the Over Priced, Under Performing, Clunky Netgear system instead of the EERO WiFi Mesh system. He eventually talked us into getting the EERO pro and MAN! What a night and day difference! The EERO was very sleek in design and felt premium and setup was a BREEZE! From start to finish, it literally took 10 minutes. All of my satellites have a strong connection and the internet/connection has not dropped at all! Do yourself a favor and spend the extra coin on the EERO WiFi mesh system so you can have stability and peace of mind...something you definitely won't find with the AX3600.
