Great Router with quick and easy setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plugged in to my new Netgear cable modem and had it up and running in no time. Super easy access with the router login page, was able to change the LAN network, and set up static routes in no time. Really like the flexibility of multiple networks as well. Much appreciated for a easy to use functional product.

Fast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was using the router/modem installed from my internet provider. I bought this after an associate in store said this would solve our speed problem and the random drops in internet. I bought a booster To go along with it to reach my work building but I didnt even need the booster. Love that I switched to this router

Not a very good product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just recently bought the Nighthawk AX4 thinking I can easily set it up, no big deal right? After initial set up and firmware updates, I had issues connecting with it. I am using a range extender with the WAN port and that isn't the issue at all. The issue is that every other netgear product I have works PERFECTLY with my range extender. I have the Nighthawk AC1900 which is perfect when using my range extender but this product has too many issues. I might or might not return it, until then I'll try to figure it out. Another thing, I can connect this wired with my PS4 but not with my xbox one x. Very frustrating!

Fantastic router with great bandwidth for streamin
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this router to handle the multiple devices streaming content in my 1900sf house. With old router I had to get a WiFi extender and that made things better but not great. Install this router and all I can say is wow, problem solved. Definitely recommend this router if you want seamless streaming and a happy wife

Great router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router does what it is supposed to do. I bought it to future-proof my internet setup, I still don't have Wi-Fi 6 devices, so I can't say much about that. However, the connection is great in Wi-Fi 5. The 5 GHz connection is stable and reliable. Couldn't be happier!

Setup was simple using the accompanying app, and my wireless speed in some rooms has nearly doubled! Definitely recommend the router to anyone looking for a simple network upgrade.

Really buggy product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's start with my Spectrum router is better than this router. I was looking for a replacement router, something stable and able to connect to multiple wifi devices, this was not it. While advertised to support up to 16 devices per channel after connecting 12 on the 2.4Ghz channel and 7 on the 5Ghz the router could not handle the traffic, constantly freezing, something as simple as streaming a YouTube video will require multiple buffering on 5G (never happened to me with the Spectrum router), from a TV next to the router! The speed was constantly changing without moving from the same place, one minute you are getting 600 Mbps next minute you are on 45 Mbps. XboxOne lost connection to the servers several times while my son was playing, again never happened to me while using the spectrum router The Nighthawk app is a nightmare, horrible, constantly freezing or thinking and never returning a result. Setting up the router took longer than expected because of the latency and lag from the Nighthawk app. I had to reset the router twice because it would not let me login into the router setup using the correct username and password. I returned this really bad router and got a google mesh router (3 pack), all my problems gone! setup took 5 min, all devices connected, no drops in the line, really good constant speed all over the house (3300 sq ft)

Ordered Two, Still No Connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My original router went completely dead. We picked this router up to replace it. The set up process is done through a phone app now, which wasn't very helpful since my phone completely died literally within minutes of my original router going out. There were no additional instructions on setting up through a web browser in the box. I replaced my phone and was able to get the router set up. Internet connection was intermittent despite the router reporting it was connected to the internet. I changed out my modem and cables and still had the same issue. I replaced the new router with another of the same model. We had to same issues again. I called Netgear's technical support and troubleshot the router with them for 2 hours with no luck. We are returning this and purchasing a different model/brand. I would not recommend this router.

A complete waste of my time...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm an IT Pro with 20 years of experience. This router is not worth your time and money. Out of the box, the web interface is completely inaccessible from a wired laptop. If pages load, it can take minutes for config pages to appear. Once I managed to get wireless interface configured it completely stopped working until a factory reset - and it barely worked when left at defaults. Spent almost an hour trying to update the firmware which yielded absolutely no better result. Shame on Netgear for even letting this thing reach manufacturing... Confirmed different wireless chipsets (Intel, Broadcom, Atheros) and our Android, Windows devices had same issues.

Glitchy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Take caution: I bought two of these not at the same time and returned both first one had glitchy software and the second one the wireless did not work at all spent hours on the phone with Netgear and they just ended up saying return it. I even tried Walmart and the router did not not even get any internet connection at all. Netgear please get your act together this is disgraceful.
