This thing RIPS through 3 floors with so little slow down speed. Switching from 2 and 5g for different devices grabbing the fastest speed. I count 9 devices and a full smart home all from this Netgear and it really does deserve the praise it gets..

Very easy to hook up with the Nighthawk smartphone app guiding you through every step. App allows device management on both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands. Do wish there was QOS but other than that can handle internet speeds perfectly and allows for connection on 20+ devices thanks to the new WiFi 6 standard

I purchased this as an external router for live mixing music. The new technology coupled with great coverage gives me what I need now and future proofs it as well. I would give it 5 stars if the build was a bit more substantial. I know they are designed to sit in one spot, but those of us that use routers in mobile applications such as this could use a more robust shell.

Love this router! It looks like a spaceship and is as fast as one too. Set up is easy. Made me feel like I was super smart and techie but shhh don’t tell anyone. I’m really not. ;) seriously this thing rocks. I purchased it for my office. I want another for my wife and one for my girlfriend.

I’m reviewing the Netgear- Nighthawk AX4 4-Stream AX3000 WiFi 6 Router. This was the easiest install device I’ve ever done. I downloaded the Netgear Nighthawk app. Super fast setup. I found it amazing. Chris, at my local Best Buy was very helpful over the phone. I wanted to upgrade my existing Surfboard Modem -Router because the WiFi always dropped and I would have to reboot the modem-router daily. I wasn’t getting the speed I was paying for on my wireless devices. I am one happy customer. If you want smooth fast setup, this is the one you need. I set the router up through my iPhone and the Nighthawk app. Amazing. I’m a retired senior citizen.

The antennas could be a little more sturdy but other than that physically looks cool. The Wifi coverage is pretty good internal LAN is fast!! communication between WiFi and wired is really hight works really good if you have a local server. I also enabled the OpenVPN server super simple as easy as clicking a button and that was done even when OpenVPN could be better but that is not something NetGear supports. I also connected a portable harddrive to this router and have a lot of big files there and when its video does really good "streaming". Highly recommended I replaced my Frontier router with this and works perfect.

Awesome router, nice n fast. Drawback is its hard to setup. So many router reboots needed and the app to set it up with does not work. Get your laptop and connect to the router. But the speed is worth the aggravation.

Bought this router for future proof since I usually don't replace it for a few years. However no device in my home take the advantage of the benefits of new wifi yet. Cheapest wifi 6 router. Probably will see more benefits in the future.

The service is nice, and with AX and wifi 6 you future proof yourself. The only complaint I have is that the wifi range isn't quite where I would like for it to be. This may have something to do with positioning of the router, but I don't think so. I would recommend this to a person with 1200 square feet or less.

I bought this back when wifi 6 was still new and there weren't a lot of options available for the AX standard. I wish I would have held off for a bit to allow time for other routers to come out and kinks to be worked out. This router was such a pain to get connected. NEVER have I had a router take so many different steps to connect to the internet. I would plug in the ethernet cable from the modem and nothing but I plug that same cable into anything else and boom internet. drove me crazy and ended up finding out how to match the mac address to something that was able to connect and was finally able to get it working. since then though its had horrible range as well as very inconsistent speeds. overall not the best wifi 6 roter on the market.

We have a fully remodeled 1924 home and must have lead paint underneath many layers of more resent paint. It does not pose a risk to us, unless we start making holes in the wall but I'm pretty sure this is why we have terrible WIFI here. The good quality cable modem/WIFI router that the internet company is providing, should have done the job, for this average size home. After getting frustrated with weak signals, I spent a lot on this router. I can now be on the back porch, furthest point from the router, and get signal but it is weak. This was not possible with the provided router so I may look at running some wiring and moving this modem to the center of the home. I definitely cannot get signal in my back yard detached garage. Either way, I think it has decent power/range and the features it has are top notch. The web site based interface, to change all the settings, are for advanced users but it tries it best to dumb it down and explain things. I like the look of it and mounted it on my wall, about head level, to get the best reception. I always need more ports so I purchased a switch to add to this and get more ports for hard wired devices. It's hard to find any WIFI router that has more than 4 or 5 ports. Adding a switch is cheap but you lose one port on the modem and the switch connecting these two together. I went with an 8 port switch as opposed to a 4 port so hopefully I am now finally covered for plug in devices.

With this router I don't seem to have all the loading and retrieving issues on my Roku devices that I had before. Initial setup somewhat difficult as you have to use your phone, and it's just a bit confusing, what if you didn't have a smart phone??

This Nighthawk really made a difference in the overall performance of my computer system. I replaced my old and outdated Linksys router with this one. The Nighthawk is faster, more responsive. My cable modem is also a Netgear, so both are more integrated working together, both being Netgear
