I got this router because I have a Galaxy S10+, so I wanted a Wifi 6 compatible router in order to completely take advantage of my new phone's capabilities. At first, this router was a champ. Took everything I threw at it with ease, and kept my ping down and my internet speeds high. Though, going a few days later, it slowly started spiking my ping, slowing downloads, all the way to a point where I had to restart the router twice in order to get a usable speed out of it. I bought this router on 9/5/19, returned it on 9/19/19, and exchanged it for the ASUS AC3100, which has already been better from the start.

Could be better. Sometimes the Wi-Fi signal fluctuates or dropped and we lose connection. overall functionality is as expected

This product solved our wireless issues. Our house is brick, mortar built in 1967. 2 floors. We always had dead spots and difficulty with coverage. Nighthawk solved the problem. Would buy it again!

We where excited but.... when we opened it it was not easy to set up. Called service department and got it set up. Eent to speed test it on 500 gig and it failed the test. To slow. Returnex

I had an old nighthawk and it crashed. Went to Best Buy to get a new one. I found nighthawk AX4 for just a little more than the replacement for the one that crashed. So I went for the next gen of WIFI's. I am glad I did. It is doing a great job.

Let me start by saying that this router to be fairly new doesn't have that many glitches, it does take about 10 minutes to set it up but its worthy.

When we needed to replace our WIFI router in the house, we knew it would be with Netgear. That is what we have used for years, and wouldn't think of going to a different brand. Plus it was on sale, so it made our purchase even better.

I needed more wifi throughout the house and this nighthawk does it. I keep it in the bedroom and I have wifi in my patio. Very happy with this purchase. It was a very easy set up I had no problems with any of my devices connecting to it.

My old WiFi router died the other day so I came to Best Buy to get a new one. The sales folks were very helpful helping me decide. I am very happy with my new NETGEAR Nighthawk

I have this router in the office of a 1400 sq ft home. It will not reach the other end of the house. I lose service. Still, when I am in range it gets the job done.

This unit was suggested by the Best Buy team. I upgraded from combo unit to separate devices. So far I’m happy with it handling the increase WiFi usage data home.

WiFi 6 was the reason for the purchase. But netgear disappointed me. I even got the item exchanged with them and still had problems. 1. As of now there is no usb stick WiFi that is WiFi 6 so it voided what I was planning to do. 2. Super slow to start up, I mean heck, you’d think that you’d click on and a brand new product would be go to go nope. You need about 7 minutes before it is fully 100% usable. And this was for 2 separate units. 3. The GUI menu sucks. And the app is way WAY limited. I’m a network admin I want to take full power and control over the device and netgear doesn’t allow it. Not made for pros but made for consumers that plug and plug is just good enough. 4. The security was something I couldn’t control on this device. Have a device that it kept blacklisting as an attack device. Couldn’t figure it out and couldn’t tell the netgear code to stop it. 5. Speed and range is bad. And it didn’t keep a stable connection with my modem which oddly enough was a netgear too. 6. Wireless kept dropping for no known reason and wouldn’t reconnect. Among other problems. This was on two devices so no way could it be hardware related. I sold it off. Got me a google nest router that hasn’t let me down since I powered it on. Can’t recommend this device, too new and too buggy.

Bought this to replace my Verizon fios router they provided. This router has alot better range and speed. I also like how easy it was to set up and seems to handle the traffic better on my network.

Routers used to have horrible firmware and compatibility issues with plug n play and the like. This one does not and worked great with very minimal set up. Wifi 6 is a great new standard.

Worst day of my life, took total 6 1/2 hours to try to connect. Never did, wouldn't let me use old e-mail to log in had to use different one, then would say invalid password finally got past that , then it could not find my Wi-Fi network or ip address . Uninstalled app five times still nothing. Had to install my old router took 15 min. Don't waste your time.

Due to this, upgraded to the AX8 and the performance and range on that router was outstanding.

...but we have EPB Fiber Internet here, so we can actually use the full capacity of this router. Most people won’t get the benefit with trashy internet like Comcast.

This beast covers my two storie 1700sq home with two kid streaming all the time and me playing video games.Wifi signal strength is definitely something to look forward to.

Wish I paid more attention to my return period. Will have to sell this on ebay. Router cost $200. Drops connection on my surfacebook laptop all the time. Contacted netgear support who was no help. In addition it does not provide the range needed as advertised to give full wifi to my house. Or even partial wifi for that matter. AVOID.

Great router for any home its very powerful It has 4k streaming for all of your needs without losing down because of heavy use from slot of your devives.
