I've owned three of these routers. Purchased the first one and didn't keep it because I couldn't stomach the price ($500+tax). I should have because despite the semi-audible fan noise - this thing covered my 3400 sq ft house well and speeds were around 250/mb on the opposite side of the house. Came back and bought it when it dropped by $100. With the second one, the fans never came on and the speed was one-fifth in download speed. Managed to exchange that for a third one and I am having the same problems as the second. Guess I should have mentioned having ATT Fiber w/ 1000 mb/s connection. The gateway's poor built in wifi and wired connections are both operating much faster than this device. I work on computers for a living and although not a networking pro - I can tell you this product is one to avoid. I'd go with the ASUS ROG unit at a similar price point as a friend has this and has had zero issues like this.

way better than the AX6. Wifi 6 is cool and new. Speeds are fast and device is easy to setup.

Apparently mine either was a lemon with defective parts and/or the latest software has issues. Connection would vanish at least once an hour for a minute or two then come back. Device was super hot so added a usb fan. Device would make it up to 10 hours with extra fan. Other issues, adding a device seem to also drop the WiFi (both bands). Turning on QOS made internet stop until device was rebooted. Never saw the small fan on top turn on even if set to always on. The thermal page in settings listed temperature as NAN (not a number). Returned and went with Asus that had more reviews and a tiny ratio of 1 star reviews. Also, coming from a Netgear R8000 that has had no issues for 6 years. That device has a better interface. Pros, device got full internet speed and reduced pings for online gaming. Dropping connection just is unacceptable.

I bought this because my WiFi at home was very slow. Kept thinking it was my provider and then realized how outdated my routers were. Bought this based on the reviews I read and was ready to take it back if it didn’t live up to the reviews. Absolutely love this purchase. Glad I decided to make this purchase. We have so many devices in our house on WiFi and my download speeds are always 220+ with 11+ uploads.

I LOVE THIS MACHINE !!!!!! family of 5 with phones , ipads, smart tvs and multiple game consoles and my girl works from home. This thing is handling it all . This machine is for heavy internet users with 10 or more devices. It costs a pretty penny but if your home RELIES on internet connection its worth it plus its future proof with Wifi 6 capabilities. Shouldn't need another router for at least 5 years

This nighthawk is AMAZING. Great signal and there is no lagging or cycling issues. Awesome product.

If you need speed and long range WiFi this is the device for you. Very easy setup.

I currently have an Orbi. I get about 350 mb wifi from it. I have gigabit internet. Was hoping my Note 10 would be able to get higher speeds using wifi 6. I could only get max of 450 standing next to the router. The coverage definitely seemed to be better all around the house. But for the price of this router and nothing too impressive on speeds, I decided to return it.

Much faster than my previous router. I'm happy with it just think it's too pricey.

Better signal around the house and faster speeds without changing anything else. Anyways I wont get too technical with this review but I really like this router, it is very future proof and ready to go out of the box. It has all the setting options for the hardcore enthusiast as well as easy auto set up for the casual observer. Great features overall.

Like most households, most everything in the house is smart. We had an older router that was ok but things were starting to slow down. We upgraded to the Netgear Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream AX6000 model. We have amazing signal both inside and for a decent amount of area surrounding the house outside. All of our TVs, phones, tablets and other various devices are working like champs since our switch!!

Awesome router. 1 star off for price. WiFi 6e is out and this thing doesn’t have it. At this price point you’d think it did.

I have had great success with the Netgear line. Due to the price, I did a lot of research on the AX12. I have only had this for about a month and a half, but it has not disappointed. Due to COVID, my kids are doing virtual school. I needed something that could keep up with both of them and my wife all being on Zoom meetings at the same time. This has been worth the extra money spent.
