I have had zero issues with this router. It is really the most simple router I have ever encoutnered and having Wifi 6 available is a gamechanger for devices that support it. Plus it looks like a ship from Star Wars. 10/10

I bought this router because I needed something that could handle a lot of devices. I have a smart home and connect TONS of devices to my network. Things were going great until I got the first firmware update and then suddenly it would drop devices randomly. I reached out to support and they could not help and suggested that I keep the devices connected to the router below 20 at any time. Which is not an option for me in my setup. I ended up replacing it with Nest WiFi and the experience is so much better!!! I have yet to drop any devices on it (knock on wood). So unless you absolutely need WiFi 6 (not likely) I would take a look at Nest WiFi as it’s a much cheaper option.

I say “GREAT” because I just had to replace my AX8 after the “WIFI RADIOS” went dead. 1 year old ALMOST to the date. So THIS is an UPGRADE. For once I thought I could actually rely on a “MANUFACTURERS” WARRANTY. Being just under my purchase date by about 12 days. Well on the AX12 the NEW one, I just bought the BestBuy 2 year REPLACEMENT plan...the GRIEF handed out by NETGEAR!!! Well it just staggers me. YES.. I did FINALLY receive a REPLACEMENT AX8, THANK YOU!!! But the “GRIEF” just us not worth it to me anymore. I will not bore you with my qualifications, trust me the “RADIO... WiFi side” was having heat related problems. AND NOW it’s fixed again by way of my ANNUAL replacement or purchase. Again thanks Netgear... but you really need to get YOUR RMA program in order. ~Jerryc

Very good streaming, able to cover entire house with no problem with multiple devices connected to it.. Great design, like the ability to access router from phone.

For a router of this price point I’m beyond disappointed. It worked well at first. Decent Wi-Fi range, handled all my devices, fast connections. Until it showed that it actually couldn’t handle all of my devices. Constant disconnections and drop outs. I kid you not when I tell you I had to restart this router at least once a day until I replaced it with something better. Also the application is bad. Do yourself a favor and get another brand, as I did. Like Linksys or Asus.

Super fast when it worked. Amazing range. Random reboots kept happening more often. Not good especially when you work from home and need a stable network.

So my last router couldn't reach all the areas in and around my home I needed. After adding this router my speed on the back porch went from .36mbps (that's point 36) to 40+mbps. Recommended!

This fit perfect for a big house or apartment. This product implement a better wifi zone with a huge range but if you have a slow internet provider don't pretend this router can change that.

I bought this router to take advantage of the Wi-Fi 6 functionality while that has worked out ok nothing else on this router has. The wifi will frequently stop broadcasting and require are reboot of the router in order to get it to start again and I have had to factory restore the router twice now to prevent this from happening each time I check to make sure the firmware is up to date and each time it always is. If Netgear could resolve their bad firmware issues this router would be a better value but until then I can not recommend it.

Using this along with two EAX80 mesh extenders eliminated all dead spots and gave me high speed coverage throughout our home with 3 finished levels. Over a dozen devices and four people online, zero problems.

I’ve only owned it for a day, so let me share my feedback so far. I used to own a 6yo ASUS AC router. It was great but was on its last legs and couldn’t keep up with my 29 devices. Setup on this one was surprisingly easy! Took me all of 20 mins with cabling, firmware updates and that’s it. My wired speeds went up from 680mbps to 1.2Gbps. I have 3 AX devices in my house (2 iPhone 11 Pros and a Surface Laptop 3) and all 3 of them are reporting almost 800Mbps on wireless on the farthest corner of my 2330sqft house. I’ve also got 3 Nest cameras uploading live video feeds 24x7. It’s only been a day, but I’m mind blown! I’ll come back and update this review in a month, to let you all know how this router has kept up with my expectations.

I am a computer repair tech and know the ins and outs of networking. I am an early adopter to ax wifi, and have 4 of my main devices that use ax with devices that are each capable of running 2.4 GB/s on wifi. 2 - Gigabyte x570 Aourus Master Pro (Intel AX 200) 2 - Samsung Galaxy S10+ I'll start out at 2.1-2.4 GB/s and then it'll work for maybe 24 to 48 hours and then the router will crash. No internet. Modem is fine. It's the router. Then I will restart the router, and itll work. and then i get a max throughput of 1.2 GB/s on all 4 devices (On 5G) 2.4 has been disabled, as i assumed the auto switching was the problem. Then I assumed it was wpa3 was the issue, then i assumed it was the OFDMA, and then tried 20/40 co-existance, channel changing, etc etc. even changing from HT 160 TO HT 80 the 1.2 throughput does not change until i do a hard reset, and then i get the 2.4gb/s throughput back and then the router crashes in 1 to 2 days and back to 1.2gb/s on 5G - with 2.4 wireless disabled with OFDMA ON, HT 160, Enable WMM 5G On, Qos Upstream Off, Smart Connect Off, 2.4 off, Enable MU-MIMO On. Am I missing something here? If I wanted to talk to "Customer Service" I would have done that and not leave a review. So I greatly appreciate what will probable be a Reponse to this, stating oh no, sorry to hear you are having issues with your device please call this 888 number. This is a buggy system. Period. Early Adopters be ware.

Works well in a large home. Needed to fully customize WiFi settings Netgear’s ‘canned’ setup doesn’t provide flexibility. Novice users seek assistance in setting up from geek squad or someone that understands WiFi networking and security.
