    Expensive router little stability

Paying this much for a router with this little stability is not worth it. When it runs it will run amazingly although I cannot recommend this in good faith when it needs to be factory reset every 6 months just to restore stability to wifi devices. There was a time when I thought my phone was broken due to the abysmal speeds I was getting on it and every other wifi device was fine but it turns out factory resetting the router solved the issue I was having despite every other device on the network working fine.

Same rebooting problems as the rest

All I can say is that from the get-go after installing and connecting my devices which is only seven Wi-Fi Connections. The router will reboot I was sick with the flu and out of work for nine days the router would reboot around eight or nine in the morning once then in the afternoon then in the evening then at night 3 to 4 times a day. I uninstalled the router reinstalled it as I did the first time no change several times a day it would reboot. I called customer service at Netgear explain the situation he was clueless told me my device must be defective. I didn’t went to Best Buy reviews and noticed there’s several customers with the same problem. I returned the device reinstalled my old router which is the Netgear XR 500 gaming router I’m able to control my devices through the Dumas app allowing how much bandwidth I would like per device to have. I’ll wait until Wi-Fi six and the routers get the kinks settled . Hope my review was helpful

I used to have a less expensive netgear nighthawk, but it couldn’t keep up with all the Wi-Fi devices I have. This one works flawlessly. Couldn’t be happier

I give this router 3stars because the only VPN client for this is Pure VPN. Pure VPN does not support this series yet. I work for ISP provider this is nothing new to me. Pure VPN customer service has no idea idea how to set up it own services. I previously own the night hawk XR500 WiFi5 and HMA VPN Support on this router was much better! I only got this router to have dual WAN and LAN. But Pure VPN does not support a STATIC IP, only Dynamic IP. Also the VLAND tagging still sucks for this series.

We upgraded our internet service and needed a router to keep up. We are supposed to be getting 400Mbps but old router only getting up to 120Mbps on iPhone 12 when standing right next to the router! This one can easily get in the 350-380Mbps range. Plus, we added the Netgear/Nighthawk EAX20 extender and with that we can get up to 60Mbps way out beyond the yard into the far side of our detached garage (through brick walls). Setting up and integrating the EAX20 was super simple and fast with the Nighthawk app. Good value overall for this system, especially as Best Buy price matched the Amazon price.

Good coverage throughout a large home. I bought this to replace my aging Apple AirPort Extreme router. It has its own ios app that can manage users, check speed test, etc.

We bought this hoping we wouldn't need an extender upstairs. It works great for the office and if you are close to it but we still had to get an extender for my kid's bedroom. It only reaches about 2,500 ft even though it said it was good for more.

This was an update or a 6 year old nighthawk router. Let tell you this router was made for gigablast internet service at times only 20 mbps less than the 950 mbps that my service sales.

Did some research and this was the best deal for short and long term use. No drop offs like my old router and multiple people in the house watching movies and playing online games.
